Oh my gosh!
I have been watching my new DVD of Jonny Quest. Talk about a blast from the past! From the opening credits and song, I had a smile on my face, remembering this series from watching them with my brothers 40 years ago. The stories are intriguing; Race is cool; Jonny, Hadji and Bandit are adventerous; the music is jazzy; and the gadgets are innovative (for the 60s). I'll always remember that robot eye that looked like a giant spider! Another kudo for Hanna-Barbera!

Jonny Quest was definitely one of H-B's milestones, so far ahead of its
time. |

i am not too familiar with the 60s version of jonny quest, although i did watch the remake, 'the real adventures of jonny quest' when it was shown on cartoon network in the mid 90s. i thought that was such a good show and the voice casting had more famous names from tv and film than you could shake a stick at.
robert patrick (who played the t-1000 in terminator 2), george segal (from the sitcom 'just shoot me'), legendary voice over frank welker, mark hamill from the star wars films to name but many voiced the characters in the show. |

I'll just add that Warner Bros. is looking to do a live action version of this with Zac Efron and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for release sometime next year. No other information as to who might be in it.

I loved Turu the Terrible. He was my favorite. I enveyed the villain on that episode. I wanted a pet pterodactyl of my own.
