Why don't they let their kids watch wholesome shows like Mamma's Boys and Wife Swap, and Paris Hiltons BFF, and Tiquila Tila and The Cougar?

It's so hard to get into a new show on a Sunday or Monday Night because in the Fall football is on from 8pm to 11pm and by time the second season starts you are not that interested in watching the show.

I will try to get back into BBT now that it's not competing with Sports

The Monday CBS sitcoms are doing well, but the Wednesday ones aren't. They need to schedule the NCIS spin-off there, it would easily double what the comedies are getting.

I have been watching the first 4 seasons of "Two and a Half Men" on DVD and I have to add myself to the group of people saying they are surprised at how much that show gets away with. My mouth has dropped in shock a few times over the course of the first 4 seasons but you know as far as sitcoms go in my opinion it's the most watchable one right now. It's quite good I do enjoy it. I'm just surprised how much the network is allowing them to do is all. But when you're number 1 I suppose some leeway is the reward for that.

That said, TV is still not what it used to be. It's a very poor shadow of what it used to be in my opinion. The big problem is they aren't being as creative with ideas and concepts as they used to. There used to be an actual reason to stay in on Fridays and watch TGIF. In High School I told my friends if you want to hang out it'll have to wait until after TGIF. CBS's Friday Night Block Party in the fall of '97 was a great idea and I applaud them for trying. Especially with "Family Matters" being the lead in show for that block I thought it would do well. I would love nothing more than to see one of the networks come up with a "TGIF" or "Friday Night Block Party" type concept again with 4 great shows. I realize it probably won't happen but wishing doesn't hurt. I know I would watch more tv if that happened. Just my thoughts on this topic
