Default Pavan, 8 Simple Rules - Season 2 is being released on April 21st!

Do I see a shed of hope for Boy Meets World now? YES, YES, YES!

According to tvshowsondvd.com, 8 Simple Rules - Season 2 is expected out on dvd on April 21st, although not a finalized date. Chances are it would either move up a week or move down a week, but no further! How great is this?! Now, I'm crossing my fingers for a Boy Meets World announcement in the coming month!

**EDITED**

Cover art has now been made available by Lionsgate.

This set will now be released on May 19th instead of the April 21st date as mentioned above.

This is definitely fantastic news! I would have rathered Boy Meets World before 8 Simple Rules, but I'll take what I can get! Hopefully Lionsgate makes this a great release, and hopefully we'll see BMW soon down the road.

I agree. Although both aren't shown on US television anymore, 8SR is much easier to find to download or watch online.

Julie, you'll be buying both as well, right?

I'm both happy and sad about this. Happy because I love 8SR and look forward to the DVD. Sad because John Ritter dies all over again. Not only that, but this will be the first time I watch the episodes since Suzanne Pleshette's passing.

I wish Boy Meets World had come out before this one, too. But I'm still excited about this release. It ticks me off that Lionsgate chose to release According to Jim, Hope & Faith and My Wife & Kids before 8 Simple Rules and Boy Meets World. But in a few years, it won't matter. We'll have every season of 8 Simple Rules and probably every season of BMW.

I agree, especially with the popularity of 8SR and BMW. Am I the only one that thinks that after this, we're getting really close to a boy meets world season 4 announcement?

I also think BMW is on it's way. It would be ridiculous for them to get the rights to it and release all the shows except for BMW.

I'll definitely be buying both when they come out. I just hope we can see Boy Meets World announced maybe in a few weeks at most.

Also, I'd love to see Lionsgate release the third and final season of 8SR soon after season 2 is released. Why make us wait with only 1 season to go?

I wouldn't have even minded a double release, either packaged together, or separate, like the Cosby Show was. I also hope they stick to the same packaging, cause even though it's not my favorite, I don't want season 1 sticking out. Same goes for when they release seasons 4-7 of Boy Meets World.

I will buy this but I will only watch the first 3 episodes, that's it, I just couldn't watch the rest of the episodes because it's just not the same without John

yeah, I don't like amaray cases for TV shows at all, but I also hate having certain seasons of a show stick out from the others - hopefully we'll get as similar packaging as possible.

Same goes for Boy Meets World - I'd like to see them stick to digi-packs.

It's official now!

I'd expect package art by the end of the month

http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/8-Simpl...Season-2/11246

BTW, I love how Lionsgate disses Buena Vista for ditching the show in the press release. It's in good taste however: "Now you can continue your collection with season 2 of 8 Simple Rules on dvd."

You just know that's what they mean!
