Special Festival Closing Night at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills: A Swingtown Celebration
Friday, April 24, 2009 7:00 pm PT Paley Center Los Angeles In Person Mike Kelley (Creator/Executive Producer) and Alan Poul (Executive Producer). Additional panelists to be announced. This event will include a screening and panel followed by an after-party in the Center’s lobby and gallery. Starting on Wednesday, April 22, the Paley Center in Los Angeles will screen the first twelve episodes of Swingtown in broadcast order leading up the closing festival event with the cast and creative team of the series at the Paley Center. ************************************************** This gives the show a big boost and proves it has NOT been forgotten even though off the schedule. Can there still be hope? Even I'm amazed at how much buzz Swingtown is still getting after being off the air for nearly 6 months, being cancelled now for 2 months. And being honored at the last night of the Paley Center is incredible - I'd love to see some of the stars show up for it. You can go to the website below to submit questions you'd like to see asked to Mike and Alan: http://www.paleycenter.org/paleyfest09-swingtown |

I don't know if anyone lives out there, or is interested in attending this event (which should be great), but looks like a single Swingtown ticket might be something under $60 - - per the site:
Individual tickets will go on sale to Paley Center Members on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Individual tickets will become available to the general public beginning the following Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. PT. For Paley Center Members, ticket prices are $50 and $35 per event. For the general public, tickets are $60 and $45 per event. The exception is for the unseen Pushing Daisies screening event - $15 for general public and $12 for Paley Center Members. All PaleyFest09 tickets are available only via TicketWeb at www.ticketweb.com or call TicketWeb toll-free at (866) 468-3399 (service charges apply). |
