Default Cancelled?! (I sure hope not!)

I happen to like this show mostly because I've been a fan of Christina's for a really long time, so I've been waiting since FOREVER for this to come back on ABC. Then it keeps getting pushed back and back so that "The Bachelor" could air for like two stinking hours!! Now I hear that the show is being cancelled due to low ratings and lack of viewership and ABC is replacing it with either "The Bachelor" or "Dancing With the Stars"! I can't believe this! One of the few truly funny and original shows on TV and it's getting cancelled! And for what?! A pair of crappy reality shows! Maybe if ABC wasn't so busy pimping out "Grey's Anatomy", "Desperate Housewives", "Private Practice", "Lost", or anything else that's either something highly dramatic, or some cheesy, exploitive reality show, "Samantha Who?" might've had a chance. Not to mention Christina Applegate survived cancer!

The show will return and is not canceled. ABC is looking to find a place for it. Details:

I wonder ABC will do with this show. They could air it with Scrubs, but I don't think this show is strong enough to air on its own (although airing it with Scrubs could help out its demo). ABC would probably be best just to save it to air with DWTS.

Isn't it usually a bad sign when they start moving a show around? I like Samantha Who & really hope the viewers follow it to wherever it ends up.

This show isn't bad (seems more like a multi-camera show to me), but when ABC decides they'd rather air a 2-hour Bachelor until March, that can't be a good sign. And unfortunately, the times it did air on its own, it only got 6 million and a low demo.

i think ABC is taking the ratings it has gotten in the past for granted and they are going to screw it up by moving it around all over the place and totally lose the audience in the process.

but hey, as long as they have cheesy brainless reality shows to fall back on they'll survive.

I think this really sucks BIG TIME!!! So many great shows keep getting cancelled because of all these lame reality shows. I think alot of people are really getting fed up with all this reality TV s**t and want to see good scripted TV shows again. Yet, it seems as though the only "scripted" shows anyone wants to see anymore are shows where people are either getting cut up, or murdered, or stranded on some deserted island, or turning into earth-saving mutants, or having sex in a hospital...like every scripted TV show has to be a soap opera, or cop drama!! There aren't even any good sitcoms on TV anymore. I still can't believe CBS cancelled "The Class", which was like the only funny sitcom to come out in a really long time, and they replaced it with "Big Bang Theory", one of the lamest shows on television, then manage to keep "Two and a Half Men" and "How I Met Your Mother" and all these other S**Tcoms where the characters behave like 2-year-olds!! I have no idea who TV stations want to cater to these days, but if they are hoping to target the 18 to 24 set, they are failing miserably. I just turned 18 and I find these shows to be repulsive. Come on, ABC!! Give Christina Applegate a break here!!

I am told ABC is high on the show and will announce a return date shortly. So not to worry, the show is safe. I don't blame them for expanding The Bachelor to 2-hours. It is doing great in the ratings.

So Pavan, do you think ABC will return it with Scrubs or just wait until Dancing With the Stars to air it?

I'm surprised at how well The Bachelor is holding up against very tough competition this year. It hasn't gotten 10 million regularly in a very long time.

I think they will pair it with Scrubs. I bet they will launch In the Motherhood with Dancing. The Bachelor has been great this season. I think because it is airing earlier.

I think "Samantha Who?" is returning to ABC sometime in March. However I am in total agreement about these reality shows. Enough is enough. And all the so-called "scripted" shows suck these days. Everything is either a cop drama, or a sex-drenched teen show, or some weird sci-fi crapfest...and the sitcoms all blow too. I miss the good old days of "Diff'rent Strokes" and "Family Ties", shows that were funny and smart. These days, ever since the era of "Seinfeld" and "Friends", every sitcoms has to feature these airhead 20-somethings hopping into bed with anyone with a pulse.

See told you...Samantha Who will be airing Thursdays at 8:30pm starting March 26! It will lead into Grey's Anatomy, so you know the show will be wathed.

I really like this show and I hope it comes back soon? You know, what there doing to this show reminds me alot of what they did with the show Men in Trees. I loved that show Men in trees it was different then just a drama it was a comedy/drama show and there isn't many of those on tv now a days and they kept moving that show to different days and different times and when they took it off due to the holidays they didn't bring it back on for a few months just like what there doing to Samatha Who? And after 2 season of Abc screwing around with Men in Trees it got canclled and I just hope that doesn't end up happening with Samatha Who? or I might stop watching ABC for good and the only other show I watch on there is Dancing with the stars and I love that show (I know its a reality show but I only like 2 reality shows the rest of them suck).
