He wasn't a Washingtonian, why'd he wear so many of them ?

i think it has less to do with where he was born and more to do with he being from back east. he is paying homage to all the sports teams from the northeastern section of that area (pats, skins, etc). fun fact all four of the stars are from the east coast.

I think they moved out to Cali from Washington DC so that's the reason for the Skins stuff. Mike is from Boston so he is probably a Pats fan. He seems to be a down to Earth, average sports loving guy just like his character Jimmy Hughes.

Edit: Maybe it wasn't DC but Maryland so either way it's in the vicinity of Redskin country.
