I think that was the name. Anyone remember it? It aired on ABC sometime in the late 70s; after he left "ALL IN THE FAMILY". It only ran for a few episodes in, I think, the late summer. It took place at the turn of the century and he played a jewish immigrint who came over to the U.S. from Poland. I remember his characters name was Joseph Brenner, and the first episode was when he had just come over, the second one was when his wife came over, and that's all I remember.
He used to play an older Joseph Brenner at the beggining of each one who would introduce each episode. Who here remembers this? I remember seeing him on a talk show before it started, talking about it and saying how it was loosely based on his great-great grandparents or something. I think Carl Riener made a cameo in one episode. |
