Default How would you describe yourself emotionally?

As humans, we all have emotions of different types, and they can tell a lot about us.

Some of us are calm, some of us are caustic hotheads, or somewhere in between.

How would you decribe yourself in terms of your emotions?

Are you cool as a cucumer?

Do you wear your heart on your sleeve (that means to be very emotional and openly express your emotions)?

Would you consider yourself hot-headed?

These are but a few of the examples.

Unstable, I have days where nothing bothers me and others when the least little thing gets on my last nerve.

I'm generally sad, depressed, yadda yadda...but I hide it so I appear to be a pretty normal person. Inherited depression. Yay!

I can also be a pretty jealous person, and I hate it. It makes me feel so cruel and guilty. But I think a lot of it has to do with lack of self-esteem, so I'm jealous of everyone.

I'm not a hot-head. I generally just cry when I'm wicked angry, rather than yell and freak out. I don't get angry that easily. But I've been there, we all have. I'm relatively calm, though, besides being sad a lot of the time. I'm anxious, but again I don't show it.

i wore my heart on my sleeve like crazy until about a year ago when something started happening on a regular basis that took a huge toll on me and i started blocking off all of my emotions except for irritation. instead of crying when someone made me upset like i used to, i'd get as aggressive, mean and offensive about it as i could. after enough of that, i started acting comically light-hearted and cute about everything, as if i was immune to negative feelings.

that situation stopped last april or so, and i've been better, but i think it still has an effect on how i handle my feelings. instead of directly talking about my feelings when i'm upset like i used to, i have a tendency to make a big joke out of whatever is bothering me. you should see the number of bizarre projects i've made in reference to my ex's marriage just for my own amusement.

with that all said, right now i'm happy for the first time in years.

I wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm able to hide my emotions pretty well online, but in real life, whether it be sadness, anger, confusion, or whatever, I'm not very good at hiding it. It's like my sister in-law told me the other day, when you're having a bad day, people know it.Right now for example, I'm dealing with alot of confusion over a couple things. While I'm sure none of you notice it, people in my day to day life have been asking me what's wrong for a few days now. They can just tell that something is bothering me.

I have my days where I'm sad, angry, happy, etc. We all have those. I try my best to see a little light. When I'm feeling depressed I tell myself it's not always going to be like this. That this too shall pass. I'm a lot more open about my feelings now than I was when I was a child. When I was little, if I had a bad day in school, I wouldn't tell my parents that I had one because I didn't want them to be upset. It's better to talk.

I would say i am pretty positive most of the time. I like to keep stressful and negative thoughts out of my head. I also 'wear my heart on my sleeve'.

Cool thread!

At the moment, pretty much every emotion. I'm depressed, worried, upset, and uncertain about the next year on the family front, and on the other hand happy to be making some progress in other personal aspects and also chatting with a bunch of friends for hours at night which totally gets my mind off all the bad things which makes me laugh and enjoy it.

Kind of all over the map depending on the weather if that makes any sense.

I am pretty much light hearted , happy go lucky and friendly BUT also I am nervous and emotional if that makes sense? But I always try to keep positive and think of the funny and silly side of things which keeps me from getting too anxious most of the time.

But factoring in hot weather ,( as Anna Karenina mentioned) and menopause I find myself more grumpy than I used to be !
