i was watching last nights ep where goober was working at the dept store the woman who returned the electric blanket ( mrs larch) wasent that clara edmunds?

I doubt it. Hope Summers only played Clara Edwards, Clara Johnson, and Bertha on TAGS.

"Mrs. Larch" was played by Maudie Prickett who made a few appearances on AG (and also on Mayberry RFD as Myrtle. Maudie guest starred on many classic era sitcoms and was a semi-regular on "Hazel" as her best friend Rosie. I've always loved both Maudie and Hope Summers (Clara), two great character players, they were somewhat similar types, although Maudie usually played more gossipy types and Hope more gentle souls. And Hope was almost 20 years Maudie's senior.

I have been watching the Rifleman and Hope plays a store keeper. Fun to see actresses in different roles. Ellen Corby (Grandma Walton) I've seen in Trackdown in a continuing role as newspaper publisher.

I believe Maudie Pricket was Aunt Bea's sister where she and Uncle Ollie visited in a classic episode.
