Need help finding a song often used in Pete & Pete, played on credits of "rangeboy" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey there is this one song that is often used in season 1. For example you hear it at the begining and end of the episode "when Petes collide", you hear it on the credits of "nightcrawlers" and "rangeboy". What is that song??
My only vague clue is on the commentary of nightcrawlers where the directer says towards the end of the episode that the song is by the magnetic fields but i looked up every CD by the magnetic fields on CDnow.com and listened to all the preview clips and none of them sounded like that song.
I love that song and i want it bad! does anyone here know what that song is?? Thanks for any help anyone has!

I think it's a Gothic Archies song, that was a side project from the main Magnetic fields guy.

THE SONG IS CALLED "Falling out of love (with you)" by The 6ths ! ! !

It took me 3 years to figure it out!!!!!!! GREAT SONG!!!!

VERY PETE & PETE, JUST VERY OBSCURE

To the last guy who replied, your half right, it is from the main magnetic fields guy's side project bands, just not the gothic archies.
