the ratings will suffer these upcoming weeks because of the Olympics being on?

Tonight is just the opening ceremonies. That thing goes on for four hours and is pretty boring IMO. Probably ratings will go down if someone gets some big wins on the Friday night shows in the future. Even Olympic ratings have gone down a lot since there was only three networks.

It did pretty bad - just 3.5 million viewers in the fast nationals. I'm thinking, though, it'll jump up to above 4 million after DVR numbers and final ratings come out. Most people I know watch the Opening Ceremonies as a ritual, but still DVR every thing else.

If CBS really cared about this show, they should have moved it for its last final episode to a better slot. Even Sundays would have gotten better ratings, I think. How many episodes are left?

Three more to go if they complete the 13 episodes unless CBS pulls a Cane and don't air the remaining episodes. If they're in a hurry to drop the show they could just air the last two episodes the following week as the "2hr Finale".

Still think Flashpoint is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Someone at CBS most love the show since they've been airing the show on Saturday nights too.

I'm pretty sure they'll be airing the remaining 3 episodes - they've gone this far, why stop now? I still think it was pretty lame of CBS to air a new episode during the high point of the Opening Ceremonies. All the other networks were airing repeats of everything (a smart move), yet CBS aired the only original program of the night. It would have probably done much better airing Sunday night at 9 or 10.

Obviously somebody at CBS loves Flashpoint - at this point, I think I'd rather watch paint dry than sit through an hour of Flashpoint.

And to get off the subject a little bit, I hear a DVD release of the show (or the season) is "in the works." I've heard that commentary is already being recorded and extras are being produced. So, whether or not we make it beyond these 13 episodes, at least we can always relive them on DVD.
