CSI/Flashpoint seems like a good match and I think that will be much better for CBS. But NUMB3RS/Swingtown? Not so much. I expect 8 million or so for Flashpoint out of CSI but Swingtown will not be much more than 5 million (if that) out of NUMB3RS. Just being realistic.

I know what you mean, Pavan, but I still think both shows will benefit. Flashpoint will probably be in the 7-8 million range. My bet is Swingtown will be doing better numbers on Fridays, just because it's more of a Friday show, and hopefully it can continue to grow in ratings.

Although if you look at CBS's schedule, not many shows are really compatible with Swingtown - I think it would have fit better on ABC.

I watched the pilot of Flashpoint because the promos for it seemed really good. Then I actually saw the show about Canadian snipers police or whatever it was supposed to be and was bored out of my skull. Even the lure of the pink Power Ranger Amy Jo Johnson wasn't enough to keep me watching that show.

^ I know what you mean, I only watched 30 minutes of the Flashpoint pilot. I just didn't care for it.

I agree - and I only watched the first 10 minutes-LOL. From what I heard, it's really slow moving and is completely boring compared to other CBS dramas like it. I guess they really want it to do well, though, if they're moving it to Swingtown's spot.

Has anyone caught the promos for Swingtown this week? I don't watch CBS much, but I've actually seen a lot of them, just saying Swingtown moved to Friday nights, and about the next episode. I even saw a promo during the Price is Right yesterday. It seems to me if CBS was just burning off the show, they wouldn't waste commercial time on it.

They advertise the hell out of it during their daytime drama lineup, which makes sense. I think somebody at CBS has hopes for it.

I don't get this notion that "Flashpoint" is doing better in the ratings than "Swingtown." Yeah, technically, right now at this moment, it is. But if I'm not mistaken, FP has taken a hit each week so far, just as ST did in the beginning. This show isn't doing dramatically better than ST was at its third episode, so I don't see how either one is pulling ahead of the other.

And besides, <bias> "Swingtown" is the better show, definitely more original, and definitely something different and refreshing.</bias>

Somebody at CBS must have hopes for it. They've been advertising it all over this week, which is the first time they've done that since before it premiered. I saw commercials all through daytime this week, and in primetime - during Big Bang Theory and CSI this week I saw promos for it.

Yeah, Flashpoint is taking a very similar ratings trend that Swingtown did. They are both doing the exact same numbers week-to-week. If Flashpoint continues to fall in the next few weeks, that it is no more a hit that Swingtown is. But Swingtown is the better show of the 2 - it has the better storylines, the better writing, and the better acting, IMO. And I love watching it on Friday nights, much better than Thursday nights. I'm wondering if that helped the show at all.

Flashpoint held on to CSI's repeat this week much better than Swingtown, despite CSI only getting 7.43 million this week. CSI was around 9 million last week and over 9 million the previous week. Flashpoint did just under 7 million this week.

As for Swingtown's Friday airing. It did 4.5 million, for last place a 10pm (compared to being 1st place the past two weeks with Flashpoint). So CBS improved their Thursday numbers this week and didn't improve Friday.

If any of these return, it'll be Flashpoint. It's doing better and it is more "CBS" than Swingtown.

The numbers weren't the greatest for Swingtown yesterday, so you are right on that, Pav, which is too bad, because this show is so much better than Flashpoint on all levels.

The 18-49 demo for Swingtown was right on par with last Thursday, though, and if I'm not mistaken, it was the highest demo for the night. That's not bad at all.
