April 10, 2008 -- THE second season of their HBO series likely won't premiere until next January, but fans of Flight of the Conchords can see them in concert next month in New York.

The Conchords - deadpan New Zealanders Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, the stars of "Flight of the Conchords" on HBO - are scheduled to appear at Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd St., on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, May 6 and May 7. Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon only through Ticketmaster.

The monthlong tour starts May 5 in Philadelphia and winds up May 30 in Los Angeles. The two are expected to perform songs made famous in the first season of their HBO series.

That first season aired last summer, but due to the three-month writers' strike, production on the second season of "Conchords" is being delayed until this fall, when filming will commence in New York. New episodes are expected to air at the beginning of '09.

We just watched this show for the first time last month. I didn't even know they were a real band!

I'd go see em if it wasn't too expensive. They're pretty funny.
