Rapper Eve has dismissed claims she is romantically involved with married actor Sean Penn, insisting they are just friends.

Suspicion was aroused when Penn made a late night visit to the hip hop star after her arrest for driving under the influence last month.

He even reportedly offered to bail Eve out with $30,000 of his own money.

But the Who's That Girl star tells SOHH.com, "There's no craziness going on. I've known him for years. We got mutual friends. He saw what was happening and he just wanted to make sure I was cool.

Penn is happily married to Forrest Gump actress Robin Wright Penn.

God, I hope he is not seeing her on the side. What a slap in the fact to his faithful wife Robin. Not only that, Eve is such a sleaze bag, I would hope he had better taste than that.
