And you thought that Bill's "remote control" interstitial was in your face. The Bill Engvall Show is getting a plum showcase on CBS this Monday night, offering up a Season 1 repeat that will hopefully lead folks to give the family-friendly comedy a try when it unveils its sophomore run Wednesday, June 12, on TBS.

How this all works: In exchange for giving Bill the airtime, CBS will get to plug-plug-plug its fall line-up on TBS, in earnest, later in the summer.

I'm not a fan of the show but am glad about this promotion. This is a great way for CBS to show off the fall line-up.

I was convinced DirecTV had screwed up the guide when I saw Bill Engvall on Monday night. Glad to know it is actually happening. I've already got the 1season DVD, love the show. Still would have rather seen a Big Bang repeat though

The Monday special encore on CBS did well with 6.41 million, but the second season premiere on TBS on Thursday did not so great with just 2.89 million:

^^^ if TBS would move TBES to Fridays or Saturdays where i could watch it, it would probably get decent ratings. i'm babysitting for my cousin and she doesn't get cable (not even local channels.) the only time i get to watch regular TV is when i'm at my aunts Friday-Sunday. but showing it on the weekend would be suicide for Bill's show and i like him too much for that to happen.
