Yes, it may not have been great like Adv. of O&H but it was great seeing them back on TV - so as far as I'm concerned - phooey on the critics!!

I find that the critics are often wrong! They are most of the time with movies

and Technically, Ozzie's Girls is simply a fifteenth season!

From watching the 5 episodes I have, I also watched it originally every Sunday or was it Saturday? night at 7PM on WABC/NY...anyway...the series is fun because we are again with our favorite "Mom & Dad" 7 or so years later....but the program sorely missed the boys, it centered too much on the girls (who were dreadful actresses and far from beautiful as I have read elsewhere, one looked like a cross between Cousin Oliver (from the Brady Bunch) & John Denver!.....hardly eye candy...lol......also Ozzie tried to 70's up the show too much, like suggestions he subscribed to Playboy. The endings also always had the cast come out and take a bow as if they were in a football game...some very painful but historic moments. Believe me I'm lobbying for a DVD release and have made a few calls, otherwise I'm seriously thinking of trying to start a DVD company of my own which would specialize in these type of forever forgotten series....Ozzie Girl's and The New Andy Griffith Show would be first on my release list, both have build-in audiences and were never broadcast more than their original airings.

Oh TeeVeeCloset, I hope you do! I bet thre'd be a good market for it. And if you do start a DVD company would you consider sets for The Patty Duke Show? Another show I adore in additon to the beloved Adv of O&H.

Well, another poster here is making his own sets of Patty Duke since MeTV/Mee Too in Chicago has been running them and unedited! We may be able later to make a deal with him, but I'm patient

Thanks for the support everybody! Shows like "Patty Duke" would be cost prohibited for a start up company, license costs are unbearable and dealing with Sony, etc for properties that are still lucritive also would make it impossible. At The beginning I would still have to deal with the larger companies but I would be licensing shows that literally have never made a dime for them in syndication, the only revenue those type of shows make is an occasion fee for inclusion in documentaries, etc. Hopefully "Ozzie's Girls" is owned by The Nelson estate...I'm looking into it........

Oh, sorry, I wasn't aware of these details. I was just thinking out loud. Oh well, maybe one day. Like Jude86 I'll just be patient.

I know! Bless his heart! Like that groovin' opening theme! It wasn't a cool groovy, either, like the O&H theme...no, it's very dated and "early 70's" but at the time, that was hip.

Well, most importantly, anytime I can see our beloved Ozzie and Harriet on anything, I'm watching it!

Default You Tube??????????

Goldilocks.... unfortunately, that youtube link was removed. Know of any others?

I knew the girl who played Ozzie's neighbor's daughter. I was 10 at the time, and she went to my school. I'd guess she was about 7ish, and her sister was in my class. She told us that when her character would be sitting at Ozzie's table eating "ice cream", that it was really mashed potatoes!!!

I hate that link was removed and I don't know where there would be any others. I don't think this is officially for sale on DVD anywhere.

This renewed interest in asking about Ozzie's Girls got me searching the internet again to see if I could find anything in way of Ozzie's Girls.

Luckily I saw the pilot ofn youtube before it was taken down.

But today I hit some gold!

I found this site http://www.ntvsitcom.net/tv.cfm Nostalgia Tv. They have quite a bit of old anre rare tv shows on there.

They have 3 partial episodes of Ozzie's Girls up. I had fun watching them earlier today.

I also watched an episode of Daddy O starring Don ''Thorny' Defore.
Enjoy! To bad they weren't whole, but a partial episode of something I've never seen and never thought I would is better than nothing.

There are 5 episodes of "Ozzie's Girls" in the collectors circuit, mine are in pretty good quality, most are in B&W though, but I do have one episode with a totally different opening from the series & pilot and in perfect color!....its been awhile since I watched them.....as for "Daddy O" I have that too in perfect quality and in excellent quality, it was never produced as a series because it was so far ahead of its time because it made fun of how fake family sitcoms were and CBS's President Paley didn't like the idea.

Oh so Daddy O was just a pilot. I didn't know that. No wonder I had never heard of the show before.

I did think it was funny when they were showing the props and how they do the pratfalls.

How and when did you become a collector? And where did you find these old gems ?
