I agree with you about Women's Murder Club. I would have Boston Legal during sweeps though. Two more episodes are left, so I would slot them for May 13 and 14...two nights in a row maybe? I don't think there will be a The Bachelor: After the Final Rose this season.
If they air the Judges' Top 10 Special at 10 it would do better than 8PM, but I think According to Jim at 8PM would drag the night even more down...so I think 8PM is better for that special. I agree they should put Supernanny 9-11pm on the last night of sweeps, but Lost finale would have been better, but too too bad it won't happen because of production issues. |

Thanks for the response Pavan. Great site by the way.
Even if Jim got its usual 1.3 at 8pm, the dancing special would get at least a 3.0 (probably more) at 10pm, whereas at 8p, against IDOL and with lower viewing levels at that hour, I don't see it getting more than a 2.5. Then at 10pm WMC won't get more than a 1.7. Their overall average would be lower for the night, the current way. Plus they could put anything on at 8pm instead of jim (put a supernanny rerun on). THey really have given WMC a fair shot with 2 viewings after high profile shows - Grey's and DWTS. It's not as if they didn't try. I am a big fan of ABC since the late 70s and I think they produce some of the best shows on TV currently, but some of their scheduling decisions leave me baffled. Why is Duel still on? Especially when it is clearly hurting 20/20. I get why Jim is still on the air (for syndication purposes), but why it airs in high profile slots during the season, when it should be relegated to Fridays at best, makes me scratch my head. Plus, Supernanny which does really well at 10pm and would be a great counter program to two dramas at 10p is wasted against IDOL which is also reality and dominates everything in its slot. |

NBC has just pulled SNL reruns off of Tuesday and replaced it with SVU reruns at 9PM. I really think that will strengthen SVU at 10, and now more than ever ABC should pull WMC off the schedule and for this week, at least, move the Dancing Judges special to 10pm. This past Tuesday NBC only trailed ABC by .3 in the demo. With a stronger schedule by NBC, ABC could find itself in 4th place on a night with DWTS. I think to insure that doesn't happen they need to pull WMC immediately. Another idea might be to extend the results show this week, since they have all these returning stars, it's a lot to jam in one hour anyway.

I agree with Pavan. I think it shoud be DSM - Sun 10, B & S - Wed, 10, ELI Stone - Thurs 10, with LOST replacing that in Feb. However, Billy Baldwin told Kristen at Eonline that they are on Thurs and running 15 eps straight until Christmas, which if true is curious that ABC would allow that out already. It also makes me think B and S is staying put. Maybe they will put Eli on Tues. I don't think it should go Wed at 10p. If its not on Tues, I think they should try something else Tues at 10p. Boston legal should be renewed but I would either put it Fri at 9p or save it for midseason with a 13 ep order. I don't believe any drama pilots, save Life on Mars (if they pick it up), will be announced next Tues because none are filmed yet and my feeling is ABC won't put anything on the schedule that doesn't have a pilot or pilot presentation. If they don't put a drama on mon at 10p, I think they should run Supernannny there.
