AmericanLife TV Network May Line-Up Is Action Packed, Debuting American Classic "Remington Steele"
Award Winning "Remington Steele," Starring Pierce Brosnan, Will Debut on AmericanLife TV Network May 1, 2008 WASHINGTON, DC -- AmericanLife TV Network (SM) (www.americanlifetv.com), the cable network devoted to the Baby Boomer generation, debuts American Classic, "Remington Steele" on May 1, 2008 as part of the classic programming primetime line-up. The show will air twice daily Monday thru Friday at 10:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (EDT). "Remington Steele" is an award winning detective television series first broadcast from 1982 to 1987. The series is an action, romantic comedy show that stars the handsome, enigmatic Irishman and 'future James Bond' Pierce Brosnan as a roguish thief, Remington Steele ("Before he was Bond, he was Remington Steele") and the beautiful and talented Stephanie Zimbalist as private detective Laura Holt. The show quickly took off and continues to be an American favorite. The Remington Steele series won the prestigious Edgar Allan Poe Award in 1983 and was nominated for an Emmy in 1985. Later, Pierce went on to star in the "James Bond 007" Movie series. Other highlights for AmericanLife TV's line-up in May include original lifestyle programming and guest star appearances by well-known entertainment legends. -- "This Food, That Wine" (5:30 p.m. ET/PT, Tue., Thurs., Sun.) features chef Angie MacRae and sommelier Stacey Metulynsky assisting a host with party planning, including menu planning, cooking and wine pairing. Working with real-life people who already possess a basic knowledge of wine and cooking, Angie proves that recipes can be easy to make and still be impressive to guests, while Stacey teaches food and wine pairing, as well as shares background information on the history of wine and tips on how to best enjoy wine. -- "Fixing Dinner" (2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET/PT, Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat.) helps busy families organize their meals and gets the family cooking together and cooking with the goal of having family dinner every night of the week. -- "Save Our House, Save Our Family" (1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET/PT, Tue., Thurs., Sat.) combines relationship and renovation reality television to help families find solutions to everyday problems at home. Relationship strategist Hina Khan works with the family, helping them overcome hurdles to mend relationship issues that are affecting life at home. At the same time, contractor Dylan Marcel works with his crew to remodel a portion of the house that is an element of the strife. Once these two pieces are in play, peace can be negotiated within the house. -- "Flea Market Mania" (11:00 a.m. ET/PT, Mon.-Fri.) C Collectibles expert Christopher Kent appraises antiques and flea market finds on this eye-opening half-hour show. -- "Alive & Well" (1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., ET/PT, Mon.-Sat.) features exotic spa getaways, natural foods, nutrition, natural beauty, alternative medicines and the latest health trends. Special guests include health conscious celebrities, prominent chefs, authors and health experts. -- "Til Debt Do U$ Part" (1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET/PT, Mon., Wed., Fri., Sun.) features financial author and columnist Gail Vax-Oxlade offering solutions to couples in financial crisis, including bankruptcy, overspending, mounting debt and unemployment. -- "Embassy Chefs" (11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET/PT, Wednesdays) -- "Healthy Flavors" (12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. ET/PT, Monday - Friday) James Beard nominated Chef Coleman employs an approachable style to promote healthy cooking without sacrificing flavor. -- "Monterey Cooking" (12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET/PT, Mon.-Sun.) This entertaining cooking show features famed Monterey Peninsula restaurateur, John Pisto, cooking Italian, seafood and California regional dishes in his home kitchen.
