I always thought they both brought something good to the show. I lean towards Jefferson because he was more of a running buddy for Al in the later shows. Some of the stuff they got into was great! One seen I loved with Jefferson was when they were at the nudey bar and a stripper comes sliding down a pole legs spread wide open(hope I can say that on here) and the next thing is here comes Jefferson sliding down the pole face first right after her!

I preferred STEVE because it was the perfect mix of characters. They both looked at each other like-"YOU ARE A MESS" and that's what I liked about the interaction. With Jefferson, it seems like they never really found fault with one another

Jefferson was selfish and only married Marcy for her money.

I like steve he was pretty funny and how he and al would get into a lot of mischiefs in the past 4 seasons especially the poker game in season 1. No doubt about it steve.

I think they were funny in their own way, but Jefferson was my favorite. He was just hilarious in a smart-ass way, Steve was more of the straight man with sarcastic kind of humor.

Default Jefferson vs. Steve

I voted for Jefferson. Steve was okay, but I just plain prefer Jefferson.

I liked Steve better. He had more chemistry with Marcy. Jefferson at times could be a little corny and over the top. Didn't Steve make a guest appearance later in the years with a beard?
