Default Remember Bustin Loose or The Royal Family?

I really hope someone out there remembers these shows. Bustin Loose starred Jimmy Walker from Good Times (J.J.) I think he was a single father or something, 'cause I remember he was living with a couple of kids and I don't remember a mom being around. The show, The Royal Family, starred Redd Foxx, and I don't remember what the theme was. Both shows didn't last very long though.
OH, there was also another show with Gladys Knight and Flipp Wilson. Anyone remember this show? What was it called? It was on the air for quite a while I think.
Look forward to responses

I've heard about Bustin Loose but I've never actually seen an episode. I remember Royal Family. I use to watch it. The sitcom that you were thinking of that had Flip Wilson and Gladys Knight in it was called Charlie & CO. I remember watching it too and I was disapointed when it got cancelled after only one season. It ran on CBS from 1985-1986. Critics accused it of being a poor-man's version of The Cosby Show.

Default "Royal Family"

Della Reese co-starred with Foxx in that show. Sad to say, Foxx suffered his fatal heart attack on the set of the show & died in her arms.

Default "Royal Family"

P.S. - they added Jackee Harry to the cast after Foxx passed on, but the show never recovered from the loss of it's star.

Default Roral Family - Redd FOXX

Unfortunately, even though I worked at Paramount during the time the show was on, I don't know much about it. if you (or anyone else you know) is a Redd Foxx fan, I have a Redd Foxx/Royal family Show Paramount/CBS Postal Bag available at my site, kookykitsch.com.

Default Redd RIP

I loved the Royal Family after the episode where he has to tutor his grandson in history.

I never saw the Jimmie Walker show called Busting Loose, but I believe there was another show by that name in the mid 70's that starred Adam Arkin
