More "Rules" at CBS

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Two CBS series, the comedy "Rules of Engagement" and the legal drama "Shark," received some good news Tuesday as the network firmed up its post-strike production plans.

The network ordered six additional episodes of "Rules" and four of "Shark," which stars James Woods as a wily prosecutor. "Shark's" future for the rest of the season was put in doubt after CBS scheduled edited episodes of Showtime's "Dexter" in the drama's Sunday 10 p.m. berth.

Meanwhile, there are more clouds ahead for ABC's freshman crime drama "Women's Murder Club." Three executive producers on the show, co-creators/co-showrunners Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain as well as R. Scott Gemmill, have been let go. ABC has yet to decide the fate of the Angie Harmon drama, which has faded after a hot start.

Not expected to continue is another ABC freshman drama, "Big Shots," a male version of "Desperate Housewives."

There still is no resolution on the final six episodes of "Scrubs," as NBC has not yet ordered fresh episodes of the departing series.
