Default Does anyone have a copy of the first episode of the Jeffersons spinoff-"Checking In"?

Checking was the short-lived spinoff of the Jeffersons that debuted in the spring of 1981. I saw tHe episode of the Jeffersons that started Checking In but i never saw an actual Checking In episode which features Florence, the maid as a hotel executive. So if anyone has a copy of the first episode of Checking In and would like to make a copy for a reasonable price, you can email with the details at solomond@webtv.net

I do mostly private trading with people, so I get many more original copies of episodes. If you search around for sitcom traders online, that do mostly e-mail to e-mail, private trading...you'll get more than you're looking for. I know people who have complete series from the original networks. As for Checking In, I once traded with a person who had the pilot on video...and the episode had a bad tracking problem, and the sound was too low. That's probably the only copy out there, and I don't remember the person's name...so I can't help you there. However, the NY Museum Of Tv and Radio has 1 or 2 episodes that you can pay a small fee to watch on these mini tv screens. As I remember, one was the pilot, and the 2nd was the third episode. Both were in somewhat good condition, only a bit washed out.

Isn't the pilot of Checking In a episode of the Jeffersons?

Well...sort of. When I had watched the episode of CI at the Museum place though, it had Isabel and Sherman billed as guest stars, and had the theme song credits of CI instead of the Jeffersons one.

I swear I remember a Jeffersons episode when the guy from the hotel came to jeffersons apt to offer florence the job. And george came to visit florence at her new job. I think it was a 2 part pilot as Jeffersons episode-i could be wrong-i have to check.
