Default Predict ABC's Midseason (Strike) Schedule

Since ABC is the only network NOT to announce a schedule for January due to the strike, lets predict what they might do.

MONDAYS
8:00- Dance War (Jan-Mar) Dancing With the Stars (Mar-May
9:00- Samantha Who (Jan-Mar)
9:30- Notes From the Underbelly
10:00- October Road

TUESDAYS
8:00- Dance War: Results (Jan-Mar)/ Dancing With the Stars (Mar-May)
9:00- According to Jim
9:30- Miss/Guided
10:00- The Bachelor

WEDNESDAYS
8:00- Pushing Daises (repeats- Episodes 1-9 in order....to try to attract new viewers)
9:00- LOST
10:00- Eli Stone

THURSDAYS
8:00- Ugly Betty (repeats)
9:00- Grey's Anatomy (repeats)
10:00- Cashmere Mafia

FRIDAYS
8:00- Men in Trees
9:00- Wife Swap
10:00- 20/20

SUNDAYS

8:00- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00- Desperate Housewives (repeats)
10:00- Dirty Sexy Money (repeats- Episodes 1-10, in order to attract more of an audience)

OVERALL: ABC is really running short on scripted shows.
Samantha Who- 3-4 episodes
Notes From the Underbelly:????
October Road: 11-13 episodes
According to Jim: 7-8 episodes
Miss/Guided: ????
LOST- 8 episodes
Eli Stone- 13 episodes
Cashmere Mafia- 7 episodes

Greys Anatomy- 1 episode

Man this is tough... but here's just a few ideas(I won't do a full schedule)

Cashmere Mafia replaces DH. DH does not repeat well, and I would not advise showing repeats of it outside of maybe a few weeks(it should not be the rest of the season). When Mafia wraps up, probably by March, air Oprah's Big Give.

Lost/Eli Stone air together... either on Wednesday or Thursday.

Brothers and Sisters should air it's final 3 episodes in either January or February, then after that a rotation of repeats can air(this might be where DH could repeat a few weeks, along with DSM, PP etc.).

Otherwise, keep repeats to a minimum. Wife Swap, Supernanny, and Just for Laughs should be on the schedule somewhere(I would put Just for Laughs with Carpoolers/Jim on Tuesdays). Swap and Nanny could perhaps be a block on Wednesday or Friday.

Oh... and ABC should have just aired repeats of Samantha Who? this month and saved the new episodes for January/February. Just look at it's ratings last week.

I heard they were moving LOST to a new night. I hope those were just rumors. The ratings decline over the last two years should tell ABC that not everyone will follow the show (though I definitely will) to a new timeslot, yet alone a new night. I hope they put it back on Wednesdays at 8:00pm, where the show was doing it's best.

What happened with Samantha Who? last week?

And are Cavemen and Carpoolers officially gone?

It is very tough. Especially since ABC has a ton on the bench. And I don't think there is a Results Show for Dance War, at least not that I heard of.

I'll give it a shot, but only for Jan/Feb. Dancing with the Stars obviously is coming back in March and will take Mondays at 8 and Tuesdays at 9. Miss/Guided will probably be the comedy Mondays at 9:30, since Samantha Who will run out of episodes. The Bachelor will return I'm sure in March Mondays at 10.

NOTE: In parenthesis, are episodes left starting in January.

JANUARY
MONDAYS
8:00- Dance War
9:00- Samantha Who? (2 episodes left)
9:30- Notes From the Underbelly (??? left)
10:00- October Road (8 episodes left)

TUESDAYS
8:00- Just for Laughs
8:30- Just for Laughs
9:00- According to Jim (7-8 episodes available)
9:30- According to Jim
10:00- Boston Legal (4 episodes left)

WEDNESDAYS
8:00- Wife Swap (Pushing Daisies has 0 episodes left)
9:00- Private Practice (1 episode left)
10:00- Dirty Sexy Money (3 episodes left)

THURSDAYS
8:00- Ugly Betty (3 episodes left)
9:00- Grey's Anatomy (1 episode left)
10:00- Big Shots (3 episodes left)

FRIDAYS
8:00- Men in Trees (10 episodes left)
9:00- Women's Murder Club (1 episode left)
10:00- 20/20

SUNDAYS
7:00- Americas Funniest Home Videos
8:00- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00- Cashmere Mafia (7 episodes available, probably will start Jan. 20); Desperate Housewives (1 episode left, but will not air for sure until the strike is over)
10:00- Brothers & Sisters (2-3 episodes left)

I don't know where or if they will burn-off Cavemen/Carpoolers anywhere. They have 6-7 episodes left, so it is valuable, but it will probably not do well in the ratings.

FEBRUARY
MONDAYS
8:00- Dance War
9:00- Oprah's Big Give
10:00- October Road (would have 4 episodes left by then)

TUESDAYS
8:00- Wanna Bet?
9:00- Lost
10:00- Eli Stone

WEDNESDAYS
8:00- Wife Swap
9:00- Supernanny
10:00- Women's Murder Club repeats

THURSDAYS
8:00- Duel (if it does well?)
9:00- Grey's Anatomy repeats
10:00- Men in Trees/Private Practice repeats

FRIDAYS
8:00- America's Funniest Home Videos repeats
9:00- Just for Laughs
9:30- Just for Laughs/According to Jim
10:00- 20/20

SUNDAYS
7:00- Americas Funniest Home Videos
8:00- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
9:00- Cashmere Mafia
10:00- Desperate Housewives/Brothers & Sisters repeats

This is so hard...

I like that pretty well. I'll have to totally analyze it after I get some sleep. Hopefully we'll have the actual schedule to compare it to soon.

Doesn't ABC still have The Hill, The Middle and Football Wives' as options to pick up for mid-season replacement? I know I read that those shows had their options extended but not sure how long that lasts. Mind you, with the strike they probably don't have any shows written for these so they couldn't film anyhow.

Probably be low-rated and plus there's only 10 episodes. It wouldn't be a rest of the season slot, maybe in January/February.
