LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - TV One, a cable network targeting black viewers, has acquired rights to several series and movies from Walt Disney Co., include Eddie Murphy's claymation comedy "The PJs."
The show, in which Murphy voiced the hapless janitor of a public housing complex, aired on Fox and then the WB between 1999 and 2001. TV One will begin airing all 43 episodes this fall. It also picked up ABC's 2006 action drama "Day Break," starring Taye Diggs, and the network's similarly short-lived 1993 sitcom "Where I Live ," starring Doug E. Doug. Also included in the deal are such theatrical titles as "Glory Road," "Tsotsi," "Shoot to Kill," "Crimson Tide," "Down in the Delta," "Sister Act 2," "Bringing Down the House," "The Distinguished Gentleman" and "A Low Down Dirty Shame."
