Too bad. Makes me wonder why Cheers and All in the Family, 2 of the most successful TV shows of all time, can't do well on TVland. They always seem to be getting replaced.

Pav, is TV Land going to stop their habit of airing shows off the clock? They just started a DW ep. like 10 mins early. It's very annoying. I swear, they do it just to mess w/ people who are trying to record a show.

TV LAND PREMIERES 1974 COMEDY CLASSIC, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ON NOVEMBER 2

TVLAND.COM TO OFFER TICKET SWEEPSTAKES AND FEATURE INTERVIEWS WITH MEL BROOKS AND CAST

NETWORK CELEBRATES PREMIERE OF MEL BROOKS' NEW BROADWAY MUSICAL, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Los Angeles, CA, October 29, 2007 TV Land is celebrating the Broadway opening of Mel Brooks' new musical Young Frankenstein with a series of events on-air, online and off-air. TVLand.com, the network's revamped website, is offering a trip to New York City to see the highly anticipated production and will feature original interviews with the Broadway cast including Megan Mullally, Andrea Martin and more. TV Land will also show the network premiere of the original 1974 comedic masterpiece, Young Frankenstein.

Viewers have been logging on to TVLand.com since October 19 to enter the Young Frankenstein Sweepstakes. One lucky winner and their guest will be flown round-trip to NYC to attend Young Frankenstein on Broadway, hotel accommodations for 2 nights and $500 spending cash. Starting November 1, TVLand.com will also feature interviews with the cast of the musical including, Megan Mullally (Elizabeth), Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Andrea Martin (Frau Blucher), Fred Applegate (Kemp) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor) as well as highlights from the show.

"We are thrilled to support the Broadway production of Young Frankenstein with our multi-platform offerings," stated Larry W. Jones, President of TV Land. "Fans and critics alike recognize Young Frankenstein as one of the funniest movies ever. It truly stands the test of time and really resonates with our target audience as an important piece of pop culture."

As part of TV Land's Friday night programming block, Movieland, the network will also air the classic Oscar-nominated movie Young Frankenstein on Friday, November 2 at 10PM ET/PT, with an encore on Saturday, November 3 at 1PM ET/PT. The original film Young Frankenstein premiered in 1974 and was directed and co-written by Mel Brooks. Shot in black and white as an homage to monster movies of the past, co-screenwriter, Gene Wilder, stars as a young neurosurgeon who inherits the castle of his grandfather, Victor von Frankenstein. He denies interest in his grandfather's experiments until the discovery of von Frankenstein's journal. With the help of Teri Garr, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Peter Boyle, and Marty Feldman, hilarity ensues as Victor von Frankensteins monster is brought to life.

From the creative team of The Producers, the musical version of Young Frankenstein opens on Broadway November 9 at the Hilton Theatre in New York City. Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, the production stars Megan Mullally, of Will & Grace and host of the 2006 TV Land Award Show and Roger Bart of Desperate Housewives fame, as well as Sutton Foster, 2002 Tony Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie. The musical features a book by three-time Tony Award winner Mel Brooks and three-time Tony award winner Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks.

No wonder we can't get rid of these farces if people keep logging in,entering rig-up contestes;networks actually think that since their so many people entering the contest, then they must love this movie,or more than likely, the fact that the movie is on this network. That gives them the excuse to say,"Look at us!We're so popular!Let's put on more movies that been ran into the ground!"And people fall for it !Simplely amazing!!!

Attention All Personnel ... Incoming Mail!!

TV Land Treats Viewers To A Mailbag Of Eighteen Hilarious Episodes in
'M*A*S*H Mail Call'

NEW YORK, Nov. 1 -- It's two nights of madcap antics, pranks, love letters, homemade cookies and the latest gossip when TV Land presents a marathon of episodes from the hit series M*A*S*H during "M*A*S*H Mail Call". The marathon begins on Saturday, November 10, at 9:00pm (all times ET/PT) and Sunday, November 11, at 9:00pm (all times ET/PT) and chronicles the many personal letters and packages sent to and from loved ones of the gang at 4077th -- some good, some bad -- but all filled with side-splitting laughter. Fans will be treated to some of the most memorable episodes including "Dear Mildred", "The Winchester Tapes", "Dear Comrade"
and the popular three-part series "Dear Dad", "Dear Dad, Again" and "Dear Dad, Three", featuring Hawkeye's comical and heartfelt letters sent to his father back in the United States.

The "M*A*S*H Mail Call" Marathon schedule is as follows (all times ET/PT):

Saturday, November 10th

9p #12 -- Dear Dad
Hawkeye writes home describing Christmas in Korea while Radar
ships a jeep home, one piece at a time. Henry gives the monthly
lecture on sex with the aid of figure A and figure B, Trapper
helps deliver a calf as Hawkeye flies to the front line dressed as
Santa to help a wounded soldier.

9:30p #18 -- Dear Dad, Again
Once again, Hawkeye writes home to his father telling him of the
latest gossip: the camp gets a new surgeon, who turns out to be a
fake; Hawkeye bets he can walk into the mess tent naked for lunch
and no one will notice; Radar cheats on his final exam from the
High School diploma company and Margaret rejects Frank's advances
and he gets drunk late into the night.

10p #33 -- Dear Dad, Three
Once more Hawkeye writes home to his father. The doctors operate
on a soldier who has a grenade in his body; Hawkeye and Trapper
color the skin of a racist patient. Henry gets a movie of his
daughter's birthday from home. The officers hold the monthly
staff meeting.

10:30p #60 -- A Full Rich Day
Hawkeye records a letter to his father detailing the exploits of a
mad Turkish soldier who calls Hawkeye a "damn good Joe" and the
4077th deals with the loss of the corpse ... who turns out not to
be dead.

11p #80 -- Dear Mildred
It's Potter's wedding anniversary, so he writes home. Frank and
Hot Lips have a woodcarving made for him. Radar rescues a horse
to give as a present.

11:30p #83 -- Dear Peggy
B.J. writes home to his wife, Peg, reporting Klinger's escape
attempts while the unit receives a visit from a formidable
chaplain. Frank goofs-up.

12a #89 -- Dear Ma
Radar writes home to his mother as Hawkeye conducts the camp foot
inspection and Colonel Potter gets some shrapnel in his backside.

12:30a #162 -- Dear Sis
Father Mulcahy writes a pre-Christmas letter to his sister -- who
is a nun -- as he recounts his frustrations at not being more
effective at the 4077th.

1a #185 -- Dear Uncle Abdul
Klinger discovers that his duties as company clerk include
catering to the eccentric whims of the 4077th officers.
Consequently, the unusual demands by Klinger's superiors leave
little time to write a letter home to Toledo.

Sunday, November 11th

9p #47 -- Mail Call
The arrival of a new batch of mail leaves Trapper depressed and
thinking of desertion, despite Hawkeye's efforts to dissuade him.
Meanwhile, Hawkeye learns that he has successfully tricked Frank
into buying stocks in a fictitious company.

9:30p #87 -- Mail Call Again
The mailbag brings a letter to Frank saying his wife is divorcing
him and one to Potter telling him he is going to be a grandfather.

10p #143 -- Mail Call Three
After a delay of three weeks, five sacks of mail finally arrive
and everyone in camp reacts to good and bad news from home:
Hawkeye receives love letters addressed to another Benjamin
Pierce; another man has propositioned B.J.'s wife and Radar's mom
has a boyfriend.

10:30p #105 -- Dear Sigmund
Sidney Freedman, feeling depressed, visits and the 4077th to
observe how they fare under the pressures of war. He begins a
letter to Sigmund Freud as a form of self-therapy and he and B.J.
release tension in the form of a practical joke on Frank Burns.

11p #223 -- Give Em Hell, Hawkeye
Hawkeye writes a heartfelt letter to President Harry Truman to
protest the continued fighting in Korea. Meanwhile, Colonel Ditka
has promised a much-needed water-heater if the 4077th beautifies
the camp.

11:30p #128 -- The Winchester Tapes
Winchester tape-records a message home asking his influential
parents do whatever it takes to get him back to the States.
Meanwhile, Hawkeye and B.J. switch Winchester's clothes to a
smaller size, causing Winchester to alter his eating patterns.

12a #200 -- Letters
Members of the 4077th share their impressions of war in response
to letters from fourth graders in Hawkeye's hometown.

12:30a #159 -- Dear Comrade
Hawkeye and B.J. discover that Charles is living the life of
Riley, thanks to the attentions of his low paid Korean servant,
Comrade Park, a man of unusual skills. He has an important
contribution to make -- a native remedy for a seemingly insoluble
medical problem.

1a #217 -- The Forsight Saga
The 4077th is given a gift of fresh-grown vegetables by a grateful
Korean and Potter questions the veracity of an upbeat letter from
Radar.

Talk about overstuffed!!TVLand obviously has NEVER heard of the old saying "Familiarity breeds contempt",because these shows included in TVLand's Overstuffed Thanksgiving Weekend ,(and yes,I know they are classics, and I know there are die-hard fans of the shows,)have been run-and re-run-and rerun ad nauseum practically into the ground.TVLand definitely needs some "new blood",in the way of new classic shows shows from the 1950's and 1960's,some of which are just sitting around in vaults collecting dust.

Finally! I was glad when NAN turned back awhile ago. Good to hear TVLand is finally doing the same thing. Plus, we get another Three's Company!

My sentiments exactly!Once upon a time, this were a very good channell;just too bad it took my cable company so long to put it on.When they finally did,it would be at the time things started going downhill! I could live another 100 years before I would even want to see another CLINT EASTWOOD movie.Even the most die-hard fan would get sick of it.And don't get me started about the usless, brainless marathons! Add the overplay, played to death movies !!! But,it is to be expected;doing the hoildays,no one plays anything good nor classic.Gutless what it is!

Is that what you want? I could care less about DW on TVland, too. It think we're getting too much of it. But I think it does, because Beverly Hillbillies is taking over it's Monday marathon.
