LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Boston Legal" has made its case for a fall 2008 launch in broadcast syndication.
The legal drama has been cleared so far in 46 markets covering 50 percent of the United States, including KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, and WHDH Boston. "Boston Legal," in its fourth season on ABC, stars Emmy-winning actors James Spader and William Shatner. It was created by David E. Kelley Prods. Meanwhile, a "Dr. Phil" spinoff, tentatively titled "The Doctors," has been cleared in TV stations covering three-quarters of the United States for its fall 2008 launch, syndicator CBS Television Distribution said. "Doctors" features five practicing medical professionals, ranging from a plastic surgeon to an OB/GYN to a therapist, who will discuss such medical topics as painkillers, obesity or vaccines.
