Dog River’s children’s play park is falling apart, easily making it the most dangerous place in town. So Brent suggests a novel fundraiser to fix the place up: a jelly bean jar contest. The idea takes off, but when those in charge start cutting corners, an innocent jar of candy raises more anger than money. Meanwhile, a convoy of truckers passing through town has Davis reliving trucker/cop movies of yesteryear, and Hank drags Wanda into a web of lies when he joins an exclusive club for people who own Lamborghinis.

oh riiiiiiiiiiiight!!! (duh) As you can probably guess, this isnt one of my favorite eps, I mean, I couldnt even remember what it was about .......it's not a "clunker" but, it's "average". (which means below what i'd expect from Corner Gas, where excellence is the norm!)< there ARe some good laughs, particularly when they make the "fast cuts" to kids trying to use the DECREPIT playpark!

Really? I always find it hard when you say an episode is not good or average. I know you have stated this a few times for different episodes.

No wonder you couldn't remember the details of the episode.

Decrepit playpark? I gotta see that.

Seeing Davis drive that truck...

Wanda desperate to meet a single, rich, handsome man...

Emma counting those jelly beans while Karen is eating them...

Wanda mentioning her "roadster"...

i like when the guy is pushing his kid on the swing, then the chains come back, minus the seat...and the kid!

and when Wanda is talking up the Lambo owners Wanda: "Are you married?" Lambo owner: "Yes I am" Wanda: "Well, good luck with that!"

Brent: "For various reasons, it's not a very good playpark!"
Dog River citizen: "At least the kids can still play tetherball"
Brent: "Oh yeah, i forgot about that"
(fast cut to kids in park playing tetherball) Kid: "I HATE tetherball!"

Yeah that scene with the kid who apparently flew off the swing... Just the thought in my head of a kid flying in the air is hilarious.

Those kids were funny when they actually had something that was in good condition (the tetherball) and they didn't like it.

I loved tetherball in school. Crazy kids, they don't know what fun is.

You were right, this episode was not all that. It had its moments for sure, like Wanda. I think the fact there were just too many outside people in this episode. When it is kept simple with just the townsfolk, it is hilarious. I didn't care for the trucker storyline.

Speaking of truckers, you almost never see it, but, there is a pump at the gas station for them with diesel.....its on the same side of the station as the air pump...You couldnt get a truck in front of the station because of the canopy (The diesel pump without its "diesel" label during the winter when the show is on hiatus)VVV
