Default Actor who may have petrified Soul and Glaser beyond belief

Thayer David (ben Stokes on Dark Shadows). His guest starring role on Starsky and Hutch was very short for a man with his resume. I wonder if Glaser and or Soul learned he was from the vampire soap opera and were so afraid of him for it they demanded his role be cut. Maclean Stevenson is supposed to have been very frightened of DS actor Conrad Bain (check MASH board for that) I wonder if Soul and Glaser were similarly frightened of Mr. David.

Thats kind of wild. But David Soul must have gotten over his fear of vampires
because he went on to do Salems Lot.

If one has this ep on vhs or dvd one should watch it again and see if Glaser and/or Soul act petrified of Mr. David in their one real scene with him.

John Karlen (who was also on Dark Shadows) was on a fourth season S+H ep and his role is minor too. Maybe Glaser and Soul were afraid of him too and he ended up only having a minor part as a guest star.

Well, Alexandra Moltke claimed on a Dark Shadows videotape that the set of Dark Shadows was terrifying. The set of Salem's Lot (with funnyguy fred Willard on there!) was much merrier!
