Without a doubt, my favorite character is Sylvia Schnauser!

She was so "out there", considering it was the early '60s, and Charlotte Rae was 100 times funnier on "Car 54" than she ever was on "The Facts of Life". I loved the way she would look DIRECTLY into the camera maniacally delivering her lines!

My favorite had to be Gunther. He was the real star of the show, and he really was funny with his ideas and his own way of thinking.I imitate his,"Ooh-ooh,"to this day.

CONRAD NAIGLE:Francis Muldoon is still a patrolman? He must not have had any of the right breaks.
CAPT.BLOCK:He had the wrong partner!

Probably Sylvia Schnauser. She was really funny and kind, and she was at times kind of cute and warm. But Charlotte Rae is better as Mrs. G.

It's between Gunther and the character played by Al Lewis (who also played Grandpa Munster).
