I think this show would be more popular if some channel would play the reruns, or somebody released the eps on DVD. I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there who have absolutely no idea what Car 54 is.
That's why, like I said in a previous post, this series must come out on DVD! It should be introduced to new fans. |

Here's something that I think would be fantastic!
They should sell "The Complete Fred Gwynne collection". With all eps of Car 54, all eps of The Munsters, and all the movies Fred Gwynne was in. That would be a pretty sweet collection! |

I agree... not many people really know about Car 54 because it's not on the tv... they are missing a brilliant show that has you laughing from start to finish!!
The Fred Gwynne Collection would be very nice.. but I'm a bigger fan of Al Lewis... he's soooo funny!! Just his expressions make you smile without him even saying anything! Hee..Hee... I have put a picture in the Car 54 photo gallery, of Al Lewis as Leo Schnauser... hee..hee..... Hope you like it! - Dracula! |

I hate to even say this but I'm starting to burn out on The Munster's. But only because there's not too much in the way of movies or shows on TV with FG in them except that. I willing sat through 2 hrs. of, ON THE WATERFRONT, to see, oh, I don't know, 4.5 seconds of him. Yes! AL is a riot. He always looks blissfully MAD. But it's a good mad. |

If that photo was taken in 1961, he would be either 38 or 51. According to his two birthdates, 1910, and 1923.
He looks young in that photo, so I will say he is about 38, so that means he was born in 1923! |

Hi Munster1!
Check out my first post in the Munsters message board about Al Lewis, it's on the thread with the Al Lewis perkins commercial audio. This tells you about his birthdate! - Dracula! |
