yea; I think the last time it was on was when N@N showed it in the early 90s. Like someone else said; those were the days.

Now all they show is ROSEANNE, THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR, FULL HOUSE and other shows from the 80s and 90s.

the worst thing is they have also ruined tvland. i can see there might be a following of the current n@n shows, but they could have kept one network for the old shows not aired anywhere else.

jethro certainly could program the station better than it is now. used his giant brain, and 6th grade education, certainly an improvement over the mindless ones doing it now.

yeah, only bw shows now are lucy and andy. and they do get tired after yrs of constant running.

did anyone see the police car on ebay, car 54 i should say?? it was used in the series. pretty cool wish i could have bought it.

i wish they had a chat site here, would be cool to chat about the fun old sitcoms also.

the last time Car 54 was seen on a regular basis in America was actually on Comedy Central back in 1991.

Car 54 left Nick@Nite sometime in late 1989, maybe early 1990 when it then moved to Nick's sister channel called HA!!.

It stayed on HA until 1991 when they and the Comedy Channel merged to become what is now Comedy Central.

Car 54 did NOT last on Comedy Central though because not long after their debut they started creating their own shows and one by one the classic TV they showed was dropped.

That Girl, CPO Sharkey, The Lucy Show, Phyllis, Rhoda, Candid Camera ( the early 60s verson), Bilko, Lancelot Link, and McHales Navy were among the line-up of classic shows seen during the early days of Comedy Central.

BTW..I did hear it Car 54 was seen on some regional cable network in the northeast sometime in the mid to late 90s, not sure the name of it though.

Car 54 was last seen on TV , at least on a national network was Comedy Central back in 1992. It aired at Noon EST

Sadly it was one of the first shows to leave that channel when Comedy Channel decided to focus more on orignal stuff than sitcoms.

In other words when Comedy Central started going down the toilet like all other networks seem to have done. CC used to show some great classic comedies. I remember taping Car 54 every day then watching it later when I got home. I sure wish I had saved those tapes now.
