According to Superbowl, every single sitcom since 8SR has stunk and viewers voted no on them? Where was this election/poll?

I don't fall in that category. I very much enjoy ATJ and enjoyed George Lopez. I know several people who also feel the same way. And I know there are millions of viewers who are upset that GL is no longer on the air. But, so be it, it is canceled. I am not going to cry over it. There will be more shows.

I hate ABC for bringing in garbage like Bingo Night.

The nightly poll/election is the ratings.

As to ABC, it is not just the canceling of 8 Simple Rules that has me mad, but it is what they replaced it with. Let's review one more time. Here is what they replaced it with :

Less Than Perfect (made 13 shows, aired 3-4)
Rodney (aired 8-10 shows)
Jake In Progress (aired 2 shows)

New Shows :

Emily's Reason Why Not (aired a whopping 1 show)
Hot Properties (aired 13 shows)
Freddie (made it through one season and got canceled)

They moved 8SR to the death time slot, canceled it, and replaced it with this garbage, and have had nothing but failures in the sitcoms since. That is why I am still ticked off with them. Look, we all know the show was not as good without John Ritter, but it still was and is better than anything they have replaced it with since. At least I have been fair this year saying that Samantha Who has a chance to be good, and Carpoolers I have no opinion on, because I have not seen it. Cavemen, no way. Most other forums give it about 2-5 episodes.

As to CBS, of course I will not be happy if they cancel The Big Bang Theory, but if they replace it with a quality show like Old Christine I can live with it. Remember it will not be an established show like 8SR was. They should have treated 8SR with more respect. By the way, most people think BBT only needs to build on the How I Met Your Mother audience regardless of what the number is to be successful. Remember, The Class got 8.5 million, but did not have Dancing With The Stars for 90% of its season. No sitcom in that time slot has drawn more than 7.5-8 million viewers since DWT started in that slot. If it just builds on HIMYM it will be fine. The number itself is not the telling sign it is how it does relative to HIMYM.

I saw a little clip of the show, and I really don't think it will last. The actors are not very fitting for the role, which kills it. I'm still going to give a full episode a try, but I don't have any hopes for this one.

i still can't believe that anyone at ABC still thinks this show will air more than one episode, and I am surprised they are going to even air that - how is it that ABC (and admittedly most of the other networks are as bad) are willing to risk their precious ratings and timeslots on new shows with dumb ideas and crappy recycled plots and bad writing, but they wont give quality shows a chance to build ratings and succeed?

oh - and I gave Ugly Betty ZERO stars - I just think that it is one of those love it or hate it type of shows.

Havent seen the show yet but Abc was pretty stupid for canceling George Lopez because of this show. Maybe they will do what they did with Family Guy and bring it back.
