Well there's no reason to be rude. Chill dude..... I said I don't mind it. It's not like I said that I love it and want more of it. PLus TNN isn't even that great of a station. The only show I really watched was Diff'rent Strokes, and now that's gone. Plus, we own a hotel, so the cable we get in the house is free.

Default agravating

I agree with the anti-black bar people. When will enough be enough for television networks and especially the people watching them? 10 years ago, there was absoultely no disruption of television programs with crap all over the screen except for a legal ID on Network affiliates. The major networks didn't even have their logo (bug) on the screen. (can you believe it?) Little by little, crap started to make its way onto networks. It started with the logo (bug) in the right corners, then individual program logos (bugs) in the left corners (creating 2 bugs on one show). Then show titles across the bottom of the screen after commercials, then whats coming up next graphics during the middle segments of shows. Now we even have animated promo bugs during the beginning of show segments advertising other shows on the same network! Some are so annoying (like the E! Channel) which have quirky sound effects that overwhelm the audio of the show you are watching. Also somewhere in the middle of all this, networks felt the need for even more shameless self-promotion by doing a split screen over the ending credits of a show (and sometimes final segment of a show) to promote their other shows. And finally, the one to top them all, and take us to the next generation (no pun intended) of TV screen crapola....The TNN Deadly Black Bar!

One more thing, about the news and sports channel bars. Those are NOT a problem for one reason. You aren't missing part of a show, or having anything interupted. When you watch ESPN with the sports scores scrolling across the bottom, this is the way the program was intended to be seen. There is a very big difference between news and sports scrollers and watching a program originally filmed to be seen taking up the full screen on a 4:6 ratio TV.

Question Re: agravating (Yes and then some)

I totally agree with you Jericho, all the crapola, increstations, bells and whistles...corporate pimping is one big TURN - OFF!

Online petition, "Rise Against TNN's Black Bar"

Can anyone please explain to me why the Waltons are still presented on TNN totally free of any increstations, even their dreaded logo?
