Post just shoot me (just shoot this show)

"Just Shoot me" is the most overrated garbage in years! I'm surprised it's so popular.

I'm tempted to scream "No, no - you're so wrong!! Why have you no taste???" but that would be rude...and I'm not a rude person.
Instead I'll just ask WHY you think it's so bad. What is it, specifically, that you think is so unfunny about it? Personally, I think it's the best sitcom currently being made. All the characters work so well together and it has some of the best one-liners I've ever heard!

I think that when it comes to a show like Just Shoot Me, you will either love it, or you will think that it is an unfunny piece of garbage. I thought that the first two seasons of this show were laugh-out-loud funny, but the 3rd season changed it all. All of the characters changed, and it wasn't funny anymore.

Jack: I'm surprised at you. Where would all the great women of history be if they thought like that!? Look at Joan of Ark and wht she accomplished. And, and Florence Nightengale and Madam Curry.
Chrissy: And Lucretia Borzok.
Janet: She posioned people.
Chrissy: Yeah, but she was very goo at it.

Well, to each his (or her) own... Just as long as enough people watch so that it doesn't get pulled! (Not that there's a big chance of that, I don't think.)
I ADORE Just Shoot Me!! I watched one epi after Will and Grace and I was totally hooked. The characters are so funny and unique(especially Nina!! Finch too.) I love the relationships between the main 5. Anyways, I just had to put in one more good word for JSM!

I love the show too. I was a late bloomer to the show...I didn't start watching it until FOX put it into syndication...but I never miss it now.

How can people not like Just Shoot Me, it is a brilliant show. I know some episodes are not as good as others but over all it is a brilliant show. Love it.

i am not a huge fan of this sitcom, but having said that each to their own, i suppose. although out of this and veronica's closet, both shows of which are very similar, setting-wise (eg, they are set in the world of fashion magazine), i prefer veronica's closet. but that got less funnier during the latter seasons. i thought the first season of just shoot me was okay but as it progressed, i lost interest afterwards. i felt it lasted way too long

^ I agree with you that the show stayed on a season or two longer than it should have.

While "Just Shoot Me" won't go down in the history books as one of the great sitcoms, one of the things I liked about it was the cast: featuring actors who didn't do much sitcom work.
Laura SanGiacomo was known only for her indie film stuff and George Segal - well, he hadn't done anything in years.
Both of them were very adept at comedy after all.

Also, I give props to David Spade, who reinforced the idea that there are some SNL alumni who can make a successful transition to sitcoms.

It had some pretty funny moments, not sure if I'd buy the dvd's though.
