Default Gilligan Fanatic, I have a Fun Fact for You about Sanford Arms

Lawanda Page went to a Highschool to give a lecture in the spring of 1977 at Carver High in Los Angeles. Most of the students TUNED HER OUT during the lecture but it was one student who actually listen to Lawanda speak and take her seriously, 12 year old "John Earl". John earl was the son in Sanford Arms and by listening to Lawanda Speak he won himself a role on Sanford Arms.

Info came from August 25, 1977, Jet Magazine

That would have been a fun lecture. Everyone would be cracking heart attacks and dummy jokes. If they class acted up I wonder if she told them to watch it sucka.

I wonder what she was talking about?

She was telling them just because they grew up in the Ghetto didn't mean they had to be STUCK in the Ghetto

Cool! I would have loved to have heard that lecture! Besides Redd, LaWanda Page was my favorite actor in the series.
