Pete & Gladys Question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Since this gem doesn't have a forum of its own yet, LOL. The older neighbor lady of Gladys has a deep voice and sounds like Fred Flintstone's Mother-In-Law plus I've seen her in an episode of I Love Lucy. Was she also on December Bride or was she a new addition to the Pete & Gladys Show?

I recently bought a 3 volume set of the show with original commercials and I really love it, haven't seen this show in reruns since the late 70's.

Good observation, Verna Felton was indeed the voice of Pearl Slaghoople and was also on December Bride.

Thanks. I also noticed that Gale Gordon is Pete's Uncle, Paul. He treats Gladys like he treats Lucy, lol.

Verna Felton was in I Love Lucy as Mrs. Simpson in "Sales Resistance," and Mrs. Porter in "Lucy Hires a Maid." She also appeared on Dennis the Menace as Aunt Emma and was a voice in several Disney films (Queen of Hearts, Fairy Godmother).

I would like to see Pete & Gladys again! I faintly remember watching it as a kid and really liked it.
