Soapnet is trying to please the younger crowd, which to me, is a bunch of malarkey. It is the older group who help put Soapnet on the map to begin with by tuning in for the soaps.

anybody here remember "from here to eternity"? that would be a great one day marathon SOAPNET could do. that was a great tv show. one movie and 13 episodes...great tv.
i loved this show. why it didn't it last? one word...DALLAS. it was on NBC at 10pm head to head against DALLAS when DALLAS was at it highest levels. but it was a great show with an incredible cast.
another short lived show they could air is "flamingo road". where are these shows?

what this channel needs to do is get the older episodes of what it shows now, or get the rights to air great shows of the past like dark shadows (is there any other soap with such a huge cult following as DS? nope!!), the edge of night, texas, mary hartman, mary hartman, and such as that. and even some forgotten type shows...not this new crap. hell, that stuff is out of DVD. what this channel needs to be showing is NOT on dvd at every store in the country. if people weant to see the o.c., just go to the store and go get it!!!
idiots!!.

even worse, to make room for these they have opted to drop another world from the line-up... which stinks...

no idea, but a few months back they were airing "Paper Dolls" which is very similar to flamingo road.

personally i want to see Models Inc., Malibu Shores and Savannah on Soapnet.

The thing about this schedule change that really pisses me off is that only two shows were being added. If they were that intent on adding OTH and The OC, they didn't need to reshuffle the majority of their line-up and screw over the classics fans by taking one fan favorite off entirely and putting another one on weekend duty. I like OTH, but Another World is a great show and to see it get this kind of treatment just plain sucks.

Ryan's Hope made 3,515 episodes. There are still at least 1,900 to go. It'll take FOREVER to complete the run now. Anyone with common sense knows you don't put a show that ran that long on weekends only and put shows that ran considerably less on multiple times a day 5 days a week and air same day repeats of said shows. Same with Port Charles. There are hundreds of episodes of that that they air as well. You don't put that on weekends only. There's no logic in that.

yes. Savannah airing on the WB network from 1996-1997 starred Jamie Luner as Peyton Richards-Massick, Sharon Sturges as Resse and Robyn Lively as Lane and was about those three best friends who grew up together in the south. it initally got huge ratings for the network and at one time was the highest rated show on the wb network, but after a timeslot move to a new night which pitt it against such shows as Melrose Place and The Nanny the ratings suffered and lost a lot of fans and was put on a hiatus of which it never returned from.
