AmericanLife TV Network, the only independent network devoted to the Baby Boomer generation, continues its special salute to the classic ‘60s spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in March, with three more exciting two-hour movies, including one with guest star Joan Crawford, plus encore showings of the series’ original pilot film. Also in March, AmericanLife TV presents the final and first episodes of China Beach, starring Dana Delany, and two clip specials from the Welcome Back Kotter archives, featuring John Travolta and his fellow Sweathogs.
- AmericanLife TV’s two-month salute to The Man from U.N.C.L.E. continues with: Wednesday, March 7 * Movie icon Joan Crawford makes a rare television appearance in “The Five Daughters Affair” ( 9-11 p.m. ET /PT). Wednesday, March 14 * In “The Prince of Darkness Affair,” series stars Robert Vaughn (Napoleon Solo) and David McCallum (Illya Kuryakin) battle exotic, deadly cults as they try to prevent a superweapon from being launched into orbit. ( 9-11 p.m. ET /PT). This movie is preceded by an I Spy episode featuring singer Leslie Uggams ( 8-9 p.m. ET /PT). Wednesday, March 21 * Leslie Nielsen is one of the guest stars in “The Seven Wonders of the World” ( 9-11 p.m. ET /PT). Wednesday, March 28 * Mr. Solo, the rare 90-minute series pilot, airs at 9 p.m and 10:30 p.m. ET (6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. PT). - China Beach, which airs 9-10 p.m. ET/PT Tuesdays on AmericanLife TV, starts the month with the series’ farewell episode, followed by the two-part pilot film: Tuesday, March 6 * Alan Arkin guests in the final episode, set in 1985, which received an Emmy nomination for Best Writing and features a visit to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. I too wish they would add this to Dish Network. I like TVLAND still but would love to see the old shows on this channel esp Kotter & Chico and The Man..
