Yes he was married and he's still married to the same woman. I believe (not sure) around the time that the got AIDS his wife was pregnant or she just had a baby. But she stood by him and she doesn't have HIV or AIDS.

He got it because he's bisexual, not from blood or having sex with a woman. I've worked in sports television since the early 80s and it was quite well known among people in the profession about his proclivities long before he contacted the disease. The fact is that the homosexual lobby had to convince the world that it wasn't only gays and intraveneous drug users that got it because no one gave a **** about them. The only way the could get money for research was to convince everyone that straights got it from sex as well. So, even though 99.9999% of the cases are not from heterosexual vaginal sex, they parade around those cases as poster children. As I've said previously, read the book "The Myth of Heterosexual Aids" and then get back to me. I knew Arthur Ashe and it's horrible how he got it from a tainted transfusion in the early 80s before blood was being screened. As did quite a few people in that era. And it is possible for a woman to get it from an infected man. But the odds of a straight, non-drug using man getting the disease from an infected woman through vaginal sex are about 1 in 40,000. It is possible but highly unlikely. Since at least half of Hollywood is gay, I would say that it's far more likely this actor was a bone smuggler and that's how he got it.
