Ever wonder what their lives were like before and after that fateful day
Chapter 1: The Millionaire Thurston Howell III was born in Grosse Point, Michigan on February 25, 1909 to parents Thurston Howell II and Helen Rosemont Howell, leading millionaires. Thurston III had four younger siblings, Charles "Chip", Ruth "Ruthie", Jebediah "Jeb", and Theresa Howell. Even so, Thurston was his father's favorite. Thurston grew up in a world of mansions in places like Manhattan, Washington D.C., Paris, and Monaco. He grew up enjoying hobbies like golf, polo, sailing, and helping his father count his money daily. At the age of eighteen Thurston became a freshman at Harvard University. Three years later at age twenty one, he met his future wife, Eunice Wentworth, Queen of the Pitted Prune Bowl Parade, who attended Vassar. Thirteen years later he proposed to her at a French restaraunt called the Tour D'Argent and they were later married the next year on February 6, 1944. Thurston then became a father on November 29, 1944 to Thurston Howell IV. Thurston Howell never had a job in his life. Always the millionaire. He considered being President of seven of the top country clubs as his "job." Thurston was also quite the gambler. Between poker and blackjack, pool and chance, he did it all. Thurston Howell III was sneaky, greedy, conniving, and believes solely on bribery. 1967-1989 After being rescued from the island he'd been stranded on for three years, Thurston went back to live in Grosse Point, ditching his most frequent home in Manhattan in which was now occupied by his twenty three year old son Thurston Howell IV and his newlywed wife Annette Peterson Howell. Thurston immediatly bought a mansion in all fifty US states, London, and Venice, and ordered a makeover for his mansions in Paris, Monaco, Manhattan, Westchester, Washington D.C., and Grosse Point and bought the island, on which he built another mansion and marina for his five of his fifteen yachts. In 1969, Thurston became a grandfather to Thurston Howell V. In 1971, it was Lynette Howell, and finally in 1974, Christopher Howell. Thurston and his wife Lovey divorced a total of three times before settling down for good. In 1969, 1978, and last 1981. Thurston Howell III died on July 3, 1989 at the age of eighty. Chapter 2: The Millionaire's Wife Eunice Lynne Wentworth was born in Grosse Point, Michigan on November 5, 1911 to semi-rich socialite parents Harm and Arlene Wentworth. She had four younger sisters, Annise, Bethany, Lorraine, and Meredith Wentworth. At the age of eighteen Eunice became a freshman at Vassar. Three years later at Harvard, she met her future husband (who also happend to be a childhood acquaintance) Thurston Howell III at the Pitted Prune Bowl Parade in which she was Queen at. Thirteen years later he proposed to her at a French restaraunt called the Tour D'Argent and later married him the next year on February 6, 1944. On November 29, 1944 Eunice became a mother to her only son Thurston Howell IV. Mrs. Howell is the typical society lady. She does all the things a lady of her class usually does including attending and organizing benefits, balls, and concerts. She is also highly concerned with her husband's health and their place in the Social Register. She adores the symphony, weddings, and, of course, jewelry. Her favorite perfumes are 'Gold Dust No. 5,' 'Warm Afternoon,' and 'Tea Rose.' 1967- 1991 After being rescued from the island she had been stranded on for three years, Eunice went back to live in her Grosse Point mansion. She divorced Thurston a total of three times before finally settling down. Once in 1969, 1978, and finally 1981. She became a grandmother to Thurston Howell V in 1969, Lynette in 1971, and Christopher in 1974. Eunice Wentworth Howell died on April 10, 1991 at the age of seventy nine. Chapter 3: The Skipper Jonas Henry Grumby was born in San Diego, California on March 8, 1920 to a sailor Henry Grumby and his wife Elisabeth Grumby. Jonas had four younger brothers, Victor "Vic", Bill, Thomas "Tom", and Joseph "Joe" Grumby. Jonas was a star football player playing the line on his high school team. At the age of fifteen till he graduated from high school, Jonas was the first mate of a local sailor in San Diego. At the age of eighteen he joined the Navy and served as a cook in the 7th Fleet at Pearl Harbor until he graduated from Officer Training and became an officer three years later. Jonas was the best poker player in all of the 7th Fleet and must have battled hundreds of officers and enlisted men without being beat. At the age of twenty one, while drunk at a bar (yes he liked to drink) he proposed to a girl named Nancye Smythe whom he'd only met five minutes before. Of course she said. Jonas didn't even remember doing it the next day. On December 7, 1941 Jonas had the pleasure (sarcastic) of enduring the Japanese bombing at Pearl Harbor. In 1942, Jonas proceeded to serve in WWII fighting the Japanese. In 1945, at the end of the war, Jonas earned the rank of Captain. Also that year he proposed to a woman named Linda Crawford whom he married five months later. In 1950, Jonas went on to serve in Korea. Sadly, his marriage to Linda ended in 1951 when she divorced him after being tired of his busy military life. Jonas retired from the Navy in January 1964 after twenty six years of service and used his pention money to buy a small ship called the S.S Minnow. But before that, in 1963 he met an eighteen year old enlisted man named William Gilligan known to all as Gilligan. Gilligan saved his life by pushing him out of the way when a depth charge was rolling straight towards him. It was then that he became the Skipper's (as he was dubbed) little buddy. When Skipper started a business giving three hour tours on the S.S Minnow, Gilligan became his first mate. 1967-1990 When Skipper Jonas Grumby was rescued after being stranded on an island for three years, he rejoined the Navy and assumed his rank as Captain.
