Coming to the YES Network on November 5, 2006 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The YES Network, home of New York Yankees baseball and New Jersey Nets basketball, plans to run episodes of the classic high-school basketball series "The White Shadow" on Sundays beginning Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. (ET).

The cable network has acquired the rights to 40 episodes of the show, which originally aired from 1978 to 1981 on CBS.

"Shadow" stars Ken Howard as a former Chicago Bulls player, forced by injuries to retire, who becomes the basketball coach at an urban high school in South Central Los Angeles.

is The White Shadow still going to air on NBA TV as well

No, don't think so. I think NBA TV had a 1 year deal. Not positive, though.

I hope that NBC TV still has the right's to The White Shadow since I do not have YES NETWORK

They are starting from the beginning and going in order.

The first two seasons combined were 39 episodes, so if they've only got 40, they may not have any season 3 episodes, unless it's the series finale.
