Just wondering if anybody knows if and when season 2 will come out. I've searched the internet, but couldn't find anything.
Also, does anybody know how well the first season sets sold? I hope they sold well enough to warrant future releases. Hopefully they will release the whole shebang, but with 10 seasons of the original series and 3 seasons of the remakes, it could take a long while. I at least hope the series finds its way back on cable/satellite somewhere thanks |

Well I get to answer my own question. Although it has not been confirmed, rumor has it Universal is looking at Oct 17, 2006 as the release date for season two of this fine series. Again, that is speculation. I still cannot find any word on how well the season one sets sold.

I hope they don't change their mind about the release date because I really want to see season 2! Season 1 had me hooked! I'm a big fan of anthology shows so the more seasons the better!

Universal has confirmed that season 2 will come out Oct 17. YES!!! I can't wait.
In addition, it will be released on 5 single sided discs as opposed to season one, which was released on 3 double sided discs. This should come as good news to those who experienced trouble with the double sided discs. The only extra in the season one set consisted of an interview, and there will be no extras this time around. However, you get a whopping 39 episodes (whereas most shows today have 22 episodes per season.), and it's at a pretty reasonable rate, IMO. The cover artwork and menus seem to be pretty much the same, with an exception being the sign Alfred holds on the cover of the box has switched from purple to green. Good news indeed! |
