Default Did "Stella" ever dress up in the "Jeannie" outfit?

One of the comments about this show in the Jump the Shark page was intriguing:

"This show was always jumping, but it really jumped when Stella dressed up in I Dream of Jeannie's outfit!"

Is this true? Was there ever an episode where "Stella" dressed in the "Jeannie" outfit, or something close to it anyway, or was this person mistaken?

Yeah she did.......sort of . It was an episode when the head of the PTA read Stella's mail and thought she was pregnant ........long story short To get back at them She pretended to someone else dressed in a sari similar to Jeannie's only her face was covered (the clever disguse of the 80's ) Anyway I guess the reason twofold one for a Jeannie reference the other because I remember the line she said that in her country they would have cut their hands off for stealing someones mail.

From what I remember, that episode (with the Jeannie outfit) had her pretending to be a princess or some form of royalty from the middle east and she was writing a whole bunch of checks as part of her scheme. I think the "Stella's pregnant" story was a totally different episode. The misunderstanding came from one of the PTA members overhearing Stella talking about "flunking the rabbit test" (which was actually Dee failing a test in her science class). Stella then played it up by running across town masquerading as a pregnant woman.

Default well...

...the costume she wore in that episode [January 30, 1981] was "pretty close"- it was designed by Bob Mackie, and had "flashes" of "Jeannie" in it (particularly the hat and veil) , but the "skirt" was "borrowed" from the outfit usually worn by "Jeannie's sister". Still, Barbara proved that she was still a "knockout" {at 46} when she appeared in it!

At the time, Mackie was quoted as saying, on his opinion as to why Barbara became a sex symbol as "Jeannie", "She didn't look the the way a typical Arabian genie looked. She looked like a blonde, busty, bright-eyed, middle-class AMERICAN girl".
