Hey great job! That was awsome. I liked how Nate was willing to fight the guy. And i also liked the part were Nate put the blind fold over kate's eyes, and Kate knew when Kate kissed him that it was Nate. That was so sweet. With that said I sings *Hit the road Adam, and Don't sha come back no more!*

Lol. I was gonna say that I'd post my fic here if it would be easier. But then I was going to leave the boards for good because I was fed up with some people here but then I decided not to.

And no I didnt know that it was supposed to be coming out on DVD. I was actually thinking about that the other day and thinking how nice it would be to have on DVD.

Okay...I really just wanted to post the end of my fic here since..I started it here. I thought it would be better. Sitcoms Online has been it's home for like three years so...here it is:



About an hour later, Kate heard a knock at her door. She answered it, of course. It was Nate. Kate was surprised.

Nate held up a bouquet of flowers and a bag of groceries. “I’m sorry,” he said.

Kate sighed. Now she finally understood why he had come there earlier that night. He really did care about her and what happens to her. Kate put her arm around his neck and brought him in for a peck on the lips.

A while later, Nate was setting dinner up for Kate. Kate couldn’t believe he was doing this for her. “Nate, I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t realize that you were doing it for me and not for you. I really am sorry Nate.”

Nate shook his head. “It’s nothing. Really. I just…I couldn’t watch you do that to yourself. It hurt me.”

The two adults ate their dinner in silence. Afterwards, they both cleaned up. Nate was very tired and also glad that he had the next day off. Nate leaned forward on the table to rest.

“Do my back, Kate. Please.” Nate said as he put his head down to rest on the table.

Kate smiled to herself and walked over to him. She slipped her hands under the back of his shirt and began to rub his back. Her hands found their way to his lower abdomen and then his belt buckle. She wanted him. Right then and there.

Kate knelt down in front of Nate. Nate couldn't believe she was doing this. She had never done this to him before but he wanted it more than anything. Nate stood up straight as he felt Kate begin. He was loving it and Kate could tell by his moans and groans.

Kate stopped just a short while after. She was being a tease. She undressed herself. Nate pressed his body against hers. She was breathing heavily now.

"I've missed you." Kate whispered.

With that said, Nate gave every part of himself to Kate. As it ended, Kate and Nate tried to catch their breath. They had missed being together, but it felt good in the end.

Kate and Nate's relationship had regained its strength and stability over the next two months. Nate was still visiting Kate every night. Amanda and Jill had worked it out and came to get Katie-Ann. Kate was happy to Amanda finally owning up to her responsibilities. Kate was also glad to have some extra time in her life for Nate.

Nate had gotten an inviitation to a friend's party. It was the Friday coming up. He didnt want to bring Kate. He knew his friends wouldnt accept her the way she did. She would have been the oldest person there and he couldnt afford to let her go through that. So, Nate went alone.

Kate knew about the party. She had found the invitation in his coat pocket. He didnt even invite her. She couldnt believe he'd do such a thing. She was upset. Her mind started racing. Was he seeing someone else? Was she not good enough anymore? Kate tried to calm down. Kate knew Nate would be coming over that night after the party. She poured herself some brandy, sat on the couch in the livingroom and waited for him to come.

Half an hour later Nate opened the front door and found Kate sitting on the couch.

"Hey." he said.

Kate didnt even look at him. She didnt even blink. She just stared into space and sipped from her glass.

Nate went over to her, bent down and tried to kiss her. Kate turned away. She wasnt giving in. Nate just sighed.

"What?!" He was frustrated.

"Don't you raise your voice at me."

"I'm sorry." Nate said.

"How was the party?" Kate asked.

Nate's jaw dropped. "Kate--"

"No, dont even try to explain. Who is she? Is she young? Younger than me, I bet.."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Nate was so confused.

"If you're seeing another woman just say so. If you want out you can go." Kate instigated.

"I'm not seeing anyone else." Nate was being honest.

"You're full of it. You stupid bastard. Why did you lie to me?" Kate was furious. She got up from the couch.

"I didnt think you were up to going. I didnt want you to feel obligated to fit in over there."

"Why? Because theyre younger? The girls are prettier?"

"Where the hell is this coming from?" Nate asked as he went over to her and put his hands on her hips.

Kate pushed his hands off of her. "You dont want me anymore? Fine. Dont touch me."

"Of course I want you. I dont want anyone else. I've never wanted a woman as much as I've wanted you. Never. Not even my wife." Nate said.

Kate paused for a moment. "Your wife?"

"Yeah. My wife." Nate said.

"Are you saying you love me more than you loved her?" Kate asked.

"No, I'm saying I never wanted her as much as I want you."

"What's the difference?" Kate asked.

"I have no idea. I just know that when I'm not with you, I'm nothing."

"And when you are with me?"

"I feel secure. And safe. And loved."

Kate walked away from him. She didnt know what to say. Then she turned around. "Dont you ever lie to me again. I'll forgive you once but I wont forgive you twice. I do not like being lied to. I've had enough of that in my life."

Nate sighed. "I'm sorry."

After the fight, Nate had to make it all up to Kate. He wanted her to meet his family for the first time. This was the woman that he loved. He wanted his family to see how happy she made him.

Nate arranged for a family dinner. Kate was nervous and she felt that Nate was embarrassed by her. She didnt know what to with herself. She tried on outfit after outfit and nothing looked right. Nate finally picked something out for her. It was just right.

They arrived at the restaurant and Nate's whole family was there. Parents, siblings, everyone.

"Who is that?" Nates sister asked.

"His ladyfriend maybe?" His mother answered.

"She's our age for God's sake." Nate's father responded.

Kate and Nate sat down at the table. Kate shook hands with everyone and put on her best smile. A few of Nate's family memebers gave her the cold shoulder. Kate was expecting this.

"So how old are you Kate?" Nate's father asked.

"Dad.." Nate sighed.

"Fifty-three." Kate answered.

This was followed by mumbling and shocked expressions from all members of the family.

"Shes older than we are." Nate's father said.

"She is. My gosh!" His mother was shocked.

"I love her. So that doesnt matter." Nate defended Kate.

"She's old enough to be your mother. Doesnt that bother you, son?" Nates father asked.

"If it bothered him, he wouldnt have brought me here." Kate snapped back.

"Kate, please..." Nate wasnt even defending her now.

"Nate, she's old enough to be your GRANDMOTHER." Nate's little sister made fun.

"Shut up." Nate was getting angry.

Kate got up from the table and left. Nate ran after her.

"Wait!" He called after her.

Kate turned around. Her face was red from crying.

"I knew this was a bad ****ing idea. Why'd you make me come here? Why? We're no good for each other Nate. Don't you see? It's not going to work."

Nate kissed her to stop her from crying. Then he hugged her.

"Cap?" Called a familiar voice from some distance away.

Kate jumped. She wiped her tears away. It was Jinny and Raina.

"Are you okay?" Raina asked.

Kate nodded. "MmHmm."

"Are you guys...together?" Jinny asked looking at both of them curiously.

Kate sighed. And so did Nate.

"We have to go. I'm sorry." Kate said as she walked off.

Nate looked at Jinny and Raina. "I'll see you guys later."

Nate's pulled into Kate's driveway. Kate unbuckled her seatbelt.

"Dont sleep here tonight. I need to be alone." Kate got out of the car and walked into the house.

Nate drove off.

Kate had taken off work the next few days. She didnt want to see anyone. Nate was worried. Then he got some shocking news.

"Guys, I heard that Cap put in for a transfer." Magda said.

"She what?" Jinny asked.

"Shes tranferring to L.A.P.D" Magda wheeled her chair to the middle of the bull pen.

"Nate, did you know about this?" Raina asked.

Nate shook his head. He was in shock. He was trying desperately to hold back his tears. "I..I have to go guys."

With that said, Nate left the division and headed for Kate's house.

When he got there, the entire place was empty. All the furniture, everything was gone. The only thing left was a small white envelope. It was addressed to Nate. Inside there was a note. It read:

Nate
I'm sorry I had to to this to you. After all that we've been through I wish I could have toughed it out. But I cant. That night with your family was it for me. I know I embarrass you no matter how much you say you love me. They're all right. You should be with a young girl. Thats what you deserve. You deserve it more than anybody. You'd be happier that way. I'm so sorry it had to end this way Nate. Please dont come looking for me. Tell everyone at the division that I love them dearly. They'll always be in my heart. I'll never forget them. Tell Jinny that I love her like a daughter and that I'd do everything over again for her in heartbeat. Tell them all that they made my life so much more meaningful than it would have been if they hadnt been a part of it. Please tell them I love them. And Nate, I love you most of all.

Nate wiped a few tears from his eyes. He gathered himself and went back to work. He showed everyone the letter.

They all cried and wondered what went wrong and why they were never told about Kate and Nates relationship.

"I have to find her." Nate said.

"But she said not to." Jinny responded.

"I dont care. I love her."

Nate packed his things and headed for L.A. He was determined to find her even if it took him forever.

It took him days to find her. Making phone calls and trips here and there trying to locate her was tiresome but he finally did it.

Kate had moved to a one bedroom apartment in L.A. Right by the police station. Nate found the apartment building and eventually Kate's apartment. He knocked on the door.

Kate opened it. She was angry. "I told you not to follow me. I want to start over. I want a different life."

Nate made his way into her apartment. Kate closed the door.

"I love you. I love you more than anything. I dont care what my family thinks or what society thinks. I dont care if youre old enough to be my mother. I dont care that we wont be together forever because of our ages. What matters is here and now. I love you with everything that I have. I love you for you. I love you because you're beautiful and because you make me feel like I'm worth something. I love you and thats it. None of that other bull**** matters." Nate explained.

Kate was starting to cry. "I love you too but this will never work. You need a young girl. I'm too old for you."

"Did you not hear what I just said? I dont wnat a young girl. I want you. And only you. You have no idea how wonderful you make me feel. You make me feel like I've finally done something right in my life. And thats the greatest feeling in the world. Nothing, no one can ever replace that. Please Kate, come home."

Kate shook her head. "I cant. Everyone knows about us. Do you know how much trouble I would have gotten in if anyone found out? I had to leave."

Nate took Kate's hand. "Then stop working. I'll take care of you. I'll support you."

"I cant. This is my life. My work is what keeps me sane." Kate explained.

"This is going to be worse for you. You'll miss everyone way too much."

"No, I've severed all ties. I'm starting over." Kate cried a little bit more.

"Then let me start over with you. Let me be with you where no one knows us and no one can judge us. Let me be with you." Nate said.

Kate hugged him. "I love you so much."

Nate hugged her back. "I love you too."

Nate left San Francisco to be with Kate.They both left everything and everyone they had ever know just to be with each other. Love holds no boundaries. Not for Kate and Nate. They had everything working agaisnt them, but they made it work.

Kate McCafferty will always be the love of my life. I never felt with anyone the way I felt with her. She made me feel like I wa worth something. And now as I watch her sleep, I cant help but think of how much I love this woman.

I took her into my life, first as a boss, then as a friend. I never imagined it would end up like this. I never thought I'd look at her and love her and want her as much as I do now.

When I was married, I looked at my wife but not like this. I did not love her the way I love Kate. Beacuse of Kate I'm a different person. She's shown me things that I never knew even existed. She's shown me how to love and understand others. And how to love myself. I cant say that I cared too much about myself before there was a Kate McCafferty in my life.

Kate made me feel more secure than I ever felt in my whole life. She made everything okay. She made every waking moment so much better. She made my life perfect.

I cant imagine where I would be right now if it hadnt been for this woman. I like to think that she saved me from a completely different life. A life without happiness or love or dreams. All of these things exist in my life because of her. And ONLy because of her.

I love this woman with everything that I am. And it will always be that way.

Nate. What can I say? I love this man. I know I havent always been good to him but I love with all my heart. I cant say that I've ever loved anyone quite the way I love him. And I know he loves me.

I dont know how it happened. But all the moments between us built up something so beautiful that I couldnt help but take notice to how wonderful he is. From that first night at Anchorside, I knew I loved him. I loved his as a human being. I loved him as a man. As a cop.

Its hard to even think about what my life would be like without him. He keeps me sane. He makes me feel loved and wanted and young. He makes me feel alive. All he has to do is touch me or kiss me and I know that everything is okay. I know that we'll make it. Even if we dont, I know he'll still be there. But if we do, I'm afraid of what might happen as I get older. I know he'll love me then as much as he loves me right at this moment. I just hope the age gap wont hurt us.

I love this man. And I'll love him forever. He's everything to me. Everything I've ever wanted. Everything you could ever ask for. I wouldnt trade him for anything.
