I have a laptop. I want to transfer all my stuff from this home PC into the laptop: Word, pictures, etc.. Is there a way or a cord I can plug into the laptop & transfter all this work \ stuff? Or would I have to re-type my work on the laptop?? And what about pictures I want on my laptop? Can I plug a scanner into it or something???

there are MANY ways you could accomplish this, easiest would be to copy your files onto a recordable CD-R from your old computer and onto your new computer, but you could also network the two machines together through a router or through a crossover cable (you can get them at Best Buy or computer stores for $10-$30) or a USB bridge
you could also just copy stuff over on a USB flash drive or other external drive, but that could cost quite a bit more (but will come in handy for backups or extra storage). if you dont have a whole lot of files, you could also upload them to a file hosting site, or email them to yourself. |
