I haven't heard of it being released, and after a quick Google search, found that while Sha Na Na has had a couple of concert videos released, both on VHS and DVD, the variety show apparently has not.

I found one web site encouraging people to write in to the production company at http://www.geocities.com/sistermagenta/snndvd.html.

I remember it as being an ok show when I was a kid (many years ago ) but I'm not sure how well the show has aged. Maybe they could release a "Best of" compilation disk to gauge/raise interest...

I'd love to get the episodes with The Ramones and Cherie Currie.

According to sha na na it will not be release because it would be impossible to get all the copyrights for the songs and because of private matters it also will not be released

No, it has not been released on DVd, although I have some complete shows & a bunch of other shows that are heavily edited.

"Sha Na Na" was my favorite variety series of the 1970s after "Donny & Marie". I used to watch the show every Saturday night before the hockey game started and I always loved hearing the great music from the 1950s and early 60s which today still remains my favorite era of music. If you want to see the show again online, all 4 seasons are indeed on YouTube. This would be the best place to find them:

Sha Na Na - Seasons 1-4 - You Tube Playlist

I have a SNN play list from you tube (I didn't realize there are more videos on there than I thought. ) So I'll be adding to my list! I also love the 50s & 60s music.
