Question Have you read any GB books??

I've been playing on ebay and such, and I'm wondering if anyone has read any of the books written by George Burns, or the ones about he and Gracie.

Here are the ones I have in my collection:

The 100-Year Dash
The Most of George Burns
Living It Up
Say Goodnight, Gracie
I Love Her, That's Why
Wisdom of the 90s
George Burns: 100 Years, 100 Stories
Gracie: A Love Story
All My Best Friends
A Gracie Allen Murder Mystery

Does anyone have any others that they know of?

I don't know of any others. You are lucky to have so many. I just finished "Gracie, A Love Story" and enjoyed it much. It was great to read the personal stories about Gracie and about their real life. And the style of the book is great - like one big monologue, very funny.

Being so accustomed to seeing George and Gracie's domestic life on the show, I almost found it hard to believe that in real life they didn't hang out with Harry Von Zell or with Bea Benedaret and Larry Keating, but rather with Harpo Marx and Cary Grant.

I also have "Say Goodnight Gracie", a source of much info, including synopses of all the episodes. I am really interested in details about the show, so I loved reading this book.

I just read Gracie a Love Story and it was great. I have a new love, George and Gracie!
I am reading 100 Year Dash right now.
If I'd only known what I was missing all of these years! But, Burns and Allen wasn't on tv like LITB ILL and some of the other sitcoms from that time. Now at least BAA is on tvland once a week.

I randomly found Gracie: A love story in my house once and read it and I loved it. I knew absolutely nothing about the characters or actors. I knew who they were and I knew they were a big radio/television stars in the 40s & 50s but I found it really interesting, romantic & funny all at the same time. I'm currently rereading it for the 2nd or 3rd time and i really love this book. Its probably one of my favorites. Are the other books just as good or written the same way?

Default If you MUST read one book by George Burns...

...then read "All My Best Friends". That's his take on his close friends in vaudeville, radio, movies, TV, and the entertainment industry as a whole.
He pulled no punches with these stories, especially the sad ending of George Jessel's career...and, of course, his lifelong friendship with Jack Benny.
