Default Karen (90 Bristol Court)

Trying to track down any episodes that might be out there for trade or purchase. Looking around on Google I found a reference to someone viewing a tape of the skiing trip episode (Bonnie Franklin plays Karen's friend on this episode), and there's a feature article on the show in a magazine called "Dumb Angel" which I've ordered to see if there are any hints about tracing this one down. All help appreciated - thanks!

Default Karen

I have at least two episodes of the sixties KAREN sitcom, if you'd like to trade. The coolest thing about THIS show is that THE BEACH BOYS sing the theme.

Default "KAREN"....

...was originally part of an experimental 90 minute situation comedy format that NBC and Universal TV cooked up in 1964, called "90 BRISTOL COURT". They figured, if viewers had accepted a weekly 90 minute Western {Universal's "THE VIRGINIAN"}, why not a "long-form" comedy with three elements, loosely connected to each other? So, "90 BRISTOL COURT" had all the characters live in the same apartment complex [hence, the title]. And each half-hour would be a different look at a similar situation each "apartment" reacted to, with Bristol Court's handyman 'Cliff Murdock' (Guy Raymond) ambling around to link all three segments together. "KAREN" was the first "element" (at 7:30pm[et]), followed by "HARRIS AGAINST THE WORLD" (8pm) and ending with "TOM, DICK & MARY" (at 8:30). Unfortunately, on Mondays, "90 BRISTOL COURT" was up against "TO TELL THE TRUTH", "I'VE GOT A SECRET" AND "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW" on CBS--- and "VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA" {and "NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS"} on ABC. By January, NBC decided that only ONE of the "elements" would be renewed for the rest of the 1964-'65 season...and it was "KAREN", which was produced by the same team responsible for "THE MUNSTERS", Connelly & Mosher. But the ratings weren't high enough to renew for another season, so...the Library Of Congress has one segment each of "HARRIS" and "TOM, DICK & MARY" in their archives, and "KAREN" has at least two network prints floating in collectors' circles. If Universal has the complete run of "90 BRISTOL COURT" in their vaults, I'd be surprised!!!
