Did anybody ever see Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein? It was made in 1948. If you did, wasn't that a great movie! It had my favorites in it. Some famous people were in it, such as, Bela Lugosi, Glenn Strange, and Lon Chaney, Jr.. I bought this on DVD and if you would like a great horror flic, with a dash of comedy in it, please buy it.

Yep! My brother and I saw the last minutes of it and I have it on VHS and also on my brother's DVD. It was part of the Best of Abbott & Costello, Vol. 3.

the reason it worked so well was because Lugosi, Chaney and Strange played their roles straight and left the comedy to Bud and Lou. A timeless film. |

yep; I've seen it. You're right; it IS a GREAT film!
A little trivia about it: even though Boris Karloff didn't play Frankenstein in it,* he coached Glenn Strange in the role, including teaching him the monsters walk. *for those who may not know, Karloff played the monster in "Frankenstein" "The Bride of Frankenstein" & "Son of Frankenstein" |
