Default Doris Roberts

Hey, Angie fans! I caught SSTVF on Vh1 this week. In it they have several regular categories. For the "Go To" formula, they mentioned Doris Roberts' roles as overbearing mother. While she is best know for her character on Everybody Loves Raymond, she also played the an 'overbearing mother' on both Soap and Angie. I was glad to see her honorable mentioned, instead of being made fun of (which this kind of show often does).

Thumbs up

She was good as Angie's mother all right! I became a fan when I saw her in this role.

Ok well that makes sense. So she must have not been in the 4 episodes I received in the mail.

On Soap she played the mother of Father Tim Flotsky. She was on her deathbed and hated Corinne Tate for luring Tim away from the priesthood into marrying her.
